However, my dreams of another classic title in this genre from the studio were quickly dashed once I started playing. Why? It's hard to put my finger on it really, but for want of a better word, the gameplay just appears to be very clunky and doesn't have that smoothness and slickness of a typical Pragmatic Play release.

In terms of features, the random multipliers that can be applied to winning combos in the base game do help to keep your balance ticking along, and these come into their own more in the free spins round where you're guaranteed for one to be in play for every win, but still, it doesn't quite do enough to give the game that extra bit of zip to make it stand out from other titles in this niche. The only real positive for this feature is if you buy the Super Bonus, where a 10x or 100x multiplier is guaranteed to be applied to every win, but at the cost of 400x to buy; it's a big risk to take for a potential return of dead spins.
