Theme & Design

Gator Hunters is set in what we imagine to be the Aussie outback, and that’s not us pitching a guess due to the backdrop of the slot, which, to be honest, could literally be based on anywhere in the world; it’s more to do with one of the payout symbols in the game, which looks an awful lot like the late Steve Irwin, but we’ll leave that up to you to decide whether he’s a dead ringer or it’s just coincidence. Anyway, we’re sticking with the outback for the theme, and whilst the design is far from being some of the best work we’ve seen from NLC, it still looks reasonable across all devices.

Gator Hunters Gameplay & Features

Nolimit City’s Gator Hunters is a 6-reel, 5-row online slot operating on the scatter pays mechanic with an RTP of 96.11%. The game offers real money players a good selection of betting options, with stakes starting at a minimum of €0.20, reaching a maximum of €100.

As with most scatter pay slots, Gator Hunters is a cascading reels game, with winning symbols removed from the reels and replaced with new ones, giving you additional chances to win. On each spin it’s also possible for Eater Symbols to land, which come in two different forms. The standard eater will remove a random number of symbols before transforming into a wild, whilst the super eater will do the same, but its wild will have a multiplier attached to it up to 10x in value.

The next feature to talk about is the Revolver symbol, which can land in three variations: Normal, Super, and Super Fire. The normal will spin once, giving you a shot at a big multiplier; the super will spin again if a bullet is selected, and the super fire forces all revolvers with bullets to fire again if a bullet is selected.

Onto the free spins round, and there are multiple variations which can trigger. These are:

• Landing 3 bonus symbols will trigger 10 Swamp Spins. The total multiplier is kept during free spins. The total multiplier is only applied to the wins from spins in which a revolver lands and selects a bullet. Landing 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 bonus symbols during Swamp Spins awards 3, 5, 7, 10, or 15 additional spins, respectively

• Landing 4 bonus symbols will trigger 12 Frenzy Spins. In addition to Swamp Spins feature, 2 upgrades are randomly awarded instead of one.

• Landing 5 bonus symbols will trigger 15 Gator Spins. In addition to Swamp Spins feature, 3 upgrades are randomly awarded instead of one.

• Landing 6 bonus symbols will trigger 18 Apex Predator Spins. In addition to Swamp Spins feature, all 4 upgrades are awarded instead of one. Also the “Super Revolvers” upgrade is replaced by the following:- Super Fire Revolvers: All revolvers are replaced by Super Fire Revolvers.
