Game Overview
When you think of all the precious metals and stones there are here on planet Earth, it stands to reason that when we finally get to explore more of space, there will be bigger and better valuable resoruces that we want to get on hands on. Whilst we’re still unsure what these might be, game developer PG Soft have their own ideas in the Galaxy Miner slot, a 3-reel game with a collector mechanic and wins that can reach a maximum of 5,000x the bet.
Theme & Design
Like all PG Soft slots, when Galaxy Miner hits your screen it will be displayed in portrait mode, something hardcore fans of the studio will long be familair with. As for the backdrop to the slot, we find ourseleves in what I assume is a viewing area of a spaceship overlooking Earth, or perhaps a newly discovered planet, one where big wins must just turn out to be plentiful? We have to be hopeful at least, right? Anyway, the overall design is smart and the game looks good, but it’s far from being the best we’ve seen from Pocket Games Soft.
Those of you wishing to make more discoveries in the space slot niche are spoiled for choice here at Demoslot as we have our own space slot category if you want to go into full exploration mode. If, however, you want me to give you a suggestion or two, check out Bruce Force Alien Onslaught from Nolimit City, or the outstanding Pirots 4 by Elk Studios.

Galaxy Miner Gameplay & Features
PG Soft’s Galaxy Miner is a 3-reel, 3-row online slot that operates on a collector style mechanic, with an RTP of 96.77%. Betting options for the game start from a minimum of €0.20 a spin, up to a maximum of €100.
Ok, flying into the gameplay next, and once the reels are spun, it’s possible for meteors to land with prize values ranging from 0.05x up to 1,000x in value. If a vortex symbol then lands simioulstiantly, the meteor symbols will be collected and added to your balance. Furthermore, it’s possible for the vortex symbols to have counters up to 5 attached to them. This represents how many times the multiplier values will be collected.
Onto the main bonus round now, which is triggered if 6 or more of the meteor symbols appear in view. At the start of the bonus, a persistent win vortex symbol is added to the middle row of reel 2 and will collect the value of all meteors that land. Three spins are then awarded which will reset back to 3 each time a new vortex or meteor lands within the playfield. The bonus feature will come to and end when you hit three consecutive losing spins.
Pros
- Something slightly different from PG Soft, where no fixed paylines are in play.
- Good sized max win for a game in this style, which hits 5,000x.
- Above-average RTP.
Cons
- Having no paylines may put some players off.
- Expect alot of dead spins in the base game.
Galaxy Miner Slot Review Final Thoughts
Since PG Soft spread its wings and moved away from soley creating content for the Asian market, we've seen lots of new styles of slots from the studio. Some of these have resonated well with their fanbase, whilst others have lacked any staying power, and that for me, is Galaxy Miner falls in the grand scheme of things. Yes, it's different, and the vortex symbols can help you hit big wins, but it's a game that I quickly tired of, and I think that will end up being the case for most players, no matter what part of the world they are playing from.
