Theme & Design

Visually, Frozen Fruit may not be the most impressively designed video slot we’ve ever seen, but it does have a weird kind of charm about it. It reminds us quite a bit of Pragmatic Play’s Ice Mints. If you enjoyed other simple BGaming slots like Fortune Bells and Wild Moon Thieves X-mas Edition, it may appeal, too.

Now, instead of the typical neon-fruit-machine look, the reels are encased in ice, and the backdrop is pretty basic and, weirdly, shows a palm tree on either side of the reels! You’ll also see some frozen water at the forefront of the screen, but we do think it’s fair to say that the game looks relatively basic.

Frozen Fruit Gameplay & Bonus Features

Frozen Fruit is designed around a classic five-reel, three-row layout, and there are just ten fixed paylines in play at all times. You can bet between €0.20 and €50 per spin, and the slot has a bang-on-average RTP of 96%.

Now, where things get interesting is with the Pre-Bonus Game. This is triggered by landing three of the scatter symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5, and doing so brings up the Pre-Bonus Screen. This is, essentially, a mini-game with three rotating cells labeled Spins, Multiplier, and Screens.

Each reveals a random number between 1 and 6. The combined result determines how many free spins you get, how many reel sets you’ll play on, and what multiplier applies to every win. If you’re unhappy with your setup, you can also hit “RESPIN” to re-roll the entire set of wheels, unless you already have a 6 – the highest you can hit. You can also use the “ADD EXTRA” buttons to buy +1 to any of the three values individually, but this can end up getting quite costly.

Once you’re happy with your setup, you’ll then be able to begin the free spins. If you win fewer than six reel screens, the inactive ones will be frozen over. All of the active screens then spin independently. After every spin, the winnings from each spin are added together, multiplied, and paid.

There’s also a random feature called Wild Rain that can trigger during the bonus. When it does, a random number of wild symbols are added onto the screen. Wild symbols also have their own pay system, with a five-of-a-kind combo awarding 500x.
