Fortune of Aztec Bonus Features

Fortune of Aztec is very similar in structure to PG Soft’s Treasures of Aztec, using cascading wins, framed symbol upgrades and a growing win multiplier. In the base game, the multiplier starts at 1x and increases by 1 after each winning cascade, then resets when the spin ends.

The wilds-on-the-way feature can appear on reels 2 to 5. Larger symbols may land with silver frames, and if they are part of a win, they transform into gold-framed symbols on the next cascade. If those gold-framed symbols win again, they turn into wilds, helping to extend the cascade sequence and create stronger follow-up wins.

Free games are triggered by landing 4 or more scatters, awarding 10 free spins, with each extra scatter adding 2 more spins. In free games, the multiplier starts at 2x and increases by 2 after each winning cascade, with the total multiplier carrying through the full bonus round. Free games can also be retriggered.

Pros

  • Players who love Treasure of Aztec will enjoy the similar play style here
  • The max win of 10,000 is very attractive
  • Features cascading reels, wilds on the way and more

Cons

  • A clone of Treasures of Aztec
  • Hard to get a bonus without the feature buy being active
  • Bit of a lazy release

Final Thoughts

Such was the popularity of Treasures of Aztec that multiple other slot studios have already cloned it and made their own versions to try and muscle in on PG Soft's players. So, in Fortune of Aztec, that is exactly what we have again, another clone that's not going to show you anything not previously seen in PG Soft's release or the countless games that came after it.

I guess though, if you're a diehard TaDa Gaming player, you might want to stick with their release, but over the years, from what I've seen, gamblers still stick with Treasures of Aztec in the long run, and I don't see Fortune of Aztec changing that trend.
