Like these impressive recent releases, Forbidden Alchemy leans heavily into a gothic theme, and you’ll find yourself in a dimly lit laboratory filled with bubbling potions, skeletons, and vials containing disturbing-looking items!

It’s really well-designed, and we really hope that PG Soft starts to get more recognition for the games they’re pushing out this year, as they are far overdue in our opinion.

Forbidden Alchemy Gameplay & Bonus Features

Forbidden Alchemy uses a 5-reel, 4-row layout with 20 fixed paylines. Wins are formed by landing three or more matching symbols from left to right, and you can bet between €0.60 and €180 per spin. The game boasts an above-average RTP of 96.76%, too, which is solid.

The first feature to be aware of is the Wild Transformation. This can randomly trigger on any spin, and when it does, one or more high-value symbols are selected from an extra reel position above the grid. All matching symbols on the main reels then transform into Wilds. Plus, each transformation increases a corresponding multiplier by +1. After all wins are evaluated, the collected multipliers are added together and applied to the total win for that spin!

The game also includes a core Free Spins feature, triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view. Doing so awards 12, 15, or 20 free spins, respectively.

The bonus follows the same rules as the base game, but with a core difference: any multipliers you build become persistent for the duration of the feature. Landing 2+ scatters during the bonus also awards +3 free spins.
