Game Overview
If you’ve ever been on holiday abroad and spent any amount of time on the beach in the evening, you’ll have no doubt seen the pyro performers strutting their stuff, and to be fair, these guys and girls are very impressive when it comes to their art, and you can only imagine the hours of practice they put in to reach such a level. Now, whilst you might not expect such a theme to ever reach the slot reels, developer Quickspin has trained up their very own pyro technician, so let us introduce you to Fire Tale, a 5-reel game with 1,024 ways to win, nudging wilds, free spins, and a maximum win of 5,000x.
Theme & Design
Quickspin has traded in the beach location I mentioned in the intro and instead located you somewhere much more peaceful, where the night sky can be seen in the distance, along with the main character of the game, who remains nameless but is referred to as the Flamekeeper. Ooooo, all very mysterious, isn’t it? Anyway, it’s a nice chilled-out theme, with the design being Asian-focused rather than the upbeat party atmosphere you often get with the beach performers I talked about earlier.
It’s onto some recommendations now before we discuss the gameplay, and as this is such a niche theme, I’m going to throw a couple of Asian-style slots your way instead. Okay, I’ll kick things off with our Fortune Rabbit demo from PG Soft, a simple 3-reel game, while the 3 Lucky Lion slot from Jili Games is a collector-style slot that seemingly racks up the spins here at Demoslot, so go and give them both a try when you’re done with our review today.

Fire Tale Gameplay & Features
Quickspin’s Fire Tale is a 5-reel, 4-row online slot with 1,024 ways to win and variable RTP levels ranging from a high of 96% to a low of 84%. Punters of all sized budgets are welcome to play the game, highlighted by the minimum stake, which starts at a mere €0.04 a spin, whilst the max stake hits the heights of €100 for those who wish to gamble with more risk.
We’re over to the features next, and the base game has one main modifier to look out for, which is the nudging wilds. If these land in view, there is a chance they can nudge into full reel position, with their multiplier increasing by +1 for each nudge it takes to fill the reel. Furthermore, 2 respins are then awarded with a chance to land additional wilds, where each that hits will add 1 more respin to your total.
The last of the bonuses is the free spins round, triggered when 3, 4, or 5 scatters land in view, awarding 10, 12, or 15 spins, respectively. During this feature, four different symbols can appear. Each time two of the same symbol land next to each other, they merge and transform into the next symbol up. Additionally, when 6 upgrades are completed, extra spins are awarded, and this can be re-triggered multiple times. When all of the spins have been used, each symbol will reveal a multiplier value.
Bonus Buy
Players wishing to bet with more risk can choose from the following options:
- Fire Respin: Activate the wild respins – Costs 15x the bet.
- Fusion Free Spins: 3+ scatter trigger – Costs 40x the bet.
- Super Fusion Free Spins: 5 scatter trigger – Costs75x the bet.
Pros
- Low entry to play point of just €0.04.
- Cheap bonus buy menu.
- Nuding wilds and respins in the base game.
Cons
- Can be played on an RTP of just 84%. No thanks...
- Some of the multiplier reveal amounts in the bonus can be low.
- The 5k max win feels hard to achieve.
Fire Tale Slot Review Final Thoughts
On the outside Fire Tale looks like a reasonably good slot that could offer up some entertainment, but after a few spins and bonuses, you just realise it's a bit of a mashup of Sakura Fortune with the nudging wilds and Brick House Bonanza with its upgraded symbols.
