Slot Overview
Fire Strike is a classic-inspired video slot from Pragmatic Play, designed around a 5×3 layout with just 10 fixed paylines. This medium volatility game boasts just one high-risk bonus mechanic, centered around Fire Strike symbols – but with a maximum win potential of 25,000x, it offers more than most classic slots. Is Fire Strike worth your time? Let’s find out in our review and free demo game of the slot.
Theme & Design
Fire Strike leans heavily into traditional fruit-slot territory, dressing its gameplay in a fiery theme, devilish look, and you’ll see deep reds, orange backgrounds, glowing embers, and animated flames licking the sides of the reels.
It looks OK, although it’s not the most technologically impressive online slot we’ve seen, but Pragmatic Play clearly knows what they’re trying to do here, and, to be fair, it works. If you’re a fan of retro-theme releases and similar games like Hot To Burn Extreme and 9 Burning Stars, the Fire Strike is probably a title you’ll enjoy too.

Gameplay & Fire Strike Bonus Features
The Fire Strike slot machine is played on a five-reel, three-row layout with ten fixed paylines. You can stake between a minimum bet of €0.10 and a maximum bet size €50 per spin. The RTP is slightly above-average, too, sitting at 96.50%.
Now, Fire Strike contains no Free Spins feature, bonus round games, Respins, or other mechanics or modifiers, and the gameplay revolves around landing standard line wins of matching symbols (aided with the help of Fire Strike Wild symbols, which are paid from left to right), and the game’s core Fire Strike Bonus.
The Fire Strike Bonus is triggered by landing six or more FireStrike symbols anywhere on the reels in a single spin, regardless of the position on the reels. You are then paid a non-progressive jackpot cash prize based on the number of Fire Strike symbols that land; from 1x for 6, up to a whopping grand jackpot of 25,000x for a full screen (15 symbols)!
Pros
- Huge max win of 25,000x.
- Simple mechanics with clear objectives.
- The Fire Strike demo slot is a great way to practice the game in free play.
- Classic-inspired slot without unnecessary gimmicks.
- Fire Strike RTP is high at 96.50%
Cons
- No Free Spins or secondary features
- Highly reliant on a single bonus mechanic
- Visuals may not appeal to some players
- The lower value instant cash prizes are nothing to shout about.
- The lack of high volatility and bonus games may not suit all players.
Fire Strike Slot Review Final Thoughts
Fire Strike is deliberately minimalist with classic gameplay, and there’s no denying that it won’t suit all players. However, it’s not the worst game we’ve ever seen, and the very high maximum win potential of 25,000x makes this a decent choice for casino game players seeking volatile action who don’t want all the bells and whistles commonly seen in modern-day releases.
How often you’re really going to ever get even close to landing 15 of the Fire Strike symbols for the biggest instant money bonus remains to be seen, but the potential is there, at least, and even landing 9+ can cause some pretty healthy-sized wins.
The game won’t appeal to everyone, but it’s not designed to, and if you’re a fan of old-school games (think fruit machines with classic symbols) without modern mechanics but still want to enjoy high win potential, then Fire Strike could be worth having a few spins on! Don’t expect to grind it out for hours, but if you want a game to kill 10-15 minutes, this is a pretty solid choice, in our opinion, and to sweeten the deal even more, you can experience the game in our free demo mode, so you can try all of the key features and exciting elements without spending a single penny. Oh, and if that's still not enough, make sure you check out the sequel, Fire Strike 2.
