Slot Overview
Fire Stampede Ultimate is a buffalo-themed video slot from Pragmatic Play (developed by Wild Streak Gaming) that combines a 5×5 ways-to-win layout with a unique 6th reel and a Connect & Collect mechanic that can trigger Respins, Cash Respins, Wild Drops, Stampedes, and Free Spins. With a maximum win potential of up to 12,500x, it’s a game that looks solid, but how did it perform during our testing? Find out in this Demoslot review.
Theme & Design
Fire Stampede Ultimate is clearly designed around a “wild frontier at sunset” vibe, and you’ll see dusty skies, desert silhouettes, and a blazing buffalo face on the left-hand side of the screen that takes up a huge amount of space!
Now, of course, if you’re a fan of playing buffalo-themed bonus symbols like Buffalo Power Megaways or Buffalo Rising Megaways, you’ll feel right at home here, and it’s got that kind of Vegas-like look and feel to it that many buffalo-inspired games have.
Still, despite the (for some players) dated-looking graphics, Fire Stampede Ultimate is smooth to play, mobile optimised, and functional. We didn’t run into any issues while reviewing the game!

Fire Stampede Ultimate Gameplay & Bonus Features
Fire Stampede Ultimate runs on a 5×5 grid with a special 6th reel, using 1,876 ways to win. You can bet between €0.30 and €240 per spin, and the RTP is 96.45%, comfortably above average. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, and 4 only and substitute for all paying symbols.
Fire Stampede Ultimate’s main mechanic is the Connect & Collect system. Connect & Collect symbols can land on non-special positions across reels 1 to 5, and when they form an adjacent chain (touching horizontally or vertically) that extends from the left side and reaches a set position on reel 3 or the 6th reel, you’re paid whatever award is tied to the reached special spot.
You can also trigger a few different special prizes via these ‘chains’. Respins and Cash Respins are the main ones, and when they’re triggered, you begin with 3 Respins. Connect & Collect symbols from the triggering spin stay in place, and any new Connect & Collect symbols during the feature reset your Respin counter back to 3.
If you trigger the Cash Respins feature, all qualifying symbols are assigned a cash value. There’s also a Buffalo Coin element that can apply random multipliers of 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x to random reel positions, which then apply to whatever symbols land in that position.
Finally, Fire Stampede Ultimate also contains a Free Spins Bonus. The feature is triggered by collecting a FREE SPINS symbol and reaching it with Connect or Collect symbols, and the bonus begins with the number of Free Spins from all symbols collected. The Connect & Collect mechanic then remains active during the bonus, and additional spins can be triggered, too.
Bonus Buy
Fire Stampede Ultimate contains one Bonus Buy, allowing you to buy directly into the Free Spins for a cost of 100x your base game stake.
Pros
- Win up to 12,500x your bet.
- Connect & Collect mechanic is quite an exciting feature.
- Multiple different bonuses and features.
Cons
- Wilds can only land on the middle reels.
- Features are quite complex, and can be hard to understand at first.
- No Bonus Buy option for the Respins features.
Fire Stampede Ultimate Slot Review Final Thoughts
Fire Stampede Ultimate is a pretty good-looking game, and Wild Streak Gaming and Pragmatic Play has done a fairly decent job with it, we feel. It definitely looks like the kind of slot machine you’d find in Vegas, but it works, and the graphics are smooth.
There’s also an awful lot going on in the game, and while this is normally something we advocate for, we can’t help but feel as though Fire Stampede Ultimate is a tad too complex. Yes, on paper, the bonus rounds are fairly straightforward, but they all seem to have hidden complexities that take some time to learn and understand - and while that’s not automatically a bad thing, it does mean the game may be a bit complex for casual players.
However, with a solid maximum win potential of up to 12,500x and an above-average RTP, Fire Stampede Ultimate is definitely not a bad game; just understand what you’re getting into when playing it, and take a bit of extra time to read, and understand, the rules.
