Game Overview
Those of you who are regular online slot players must feel as though you’ve been on more archaeological expeditions than Indiana Jones, as the Egyptian theme is one that has been used by many game providers over the years. One such studio that has gone on to develop one of the biggest and most popular franchises in this genre is Blueprint Gaming, and they return again in today’s review of Eye of Horus Tablets of Destiny Megaways, a 6-reel game with a power play option, free spins bonus round, and a maximum win of 10,000x the bet.
Theme & Design
We’ve already confirmed the Egyptian theme, and Blueprint hasn’t really altered the design of their “Horus slots” since the very first release. However, that doesn’t mean the game looks dated, far from it, in fact, and the hieroglyphics are well drawn, with eye-catching colours used throughout, making Eye of Horus Tablets of Destiny Megaways look the part even if nothing else tickles your fancy in this latest title.
As I’ve mentioned already, Blueprint has a long list of games in this series, and a quick search in our handy search bar will reveal a whole host of slots you can try out. But, as always, I’ll give you one to be going on with, so go and fire up our classic Eye of Horus demo when you’re done raiding the tomb in today’s review.

Eye of Horus Tablets of Destiny Megaways Gameplay & Features
The Eye of Horus Tablets of Destiny Megaways is played over a 6-reel, 5-row configuration with up to 15,625 ways to win and a below-average RTP of 95%. Blueprint has incorporated a huge selection of betting options in the game, with the minimum stake starting at €0.10 a spin and reaching a maximum of €500, although that top limit will surely be limited to a far lower value at nearly all online casinos.
It’s onto the gameplay now, and the base game offers very little in the form of entertainment, with the expanding Horus (wild symbol) being the only notable feature to mention. There is, however, an enhanced Power Play betting mode you can activate. If you switch this one, the price per spin will increase to 5x the base bet, but the slot will now pay both ways, and you’ll have a greater chance of triggering the bonus round.
Speaking of which, the free spins will be activated when 3 or more scatters appear in view, awarding 12 free spins. Before the bonus begins, you are invited to pick from tablets which can give you greater enhancements in the feature and a better chance of winning. Once you hit the start feature tablet, the bonus will begin, and each time a Horus symbol lands in view, it will upgrade the lowest-paying premium symbol to the next one on the meter. If you can reach the end, you stand a real chance of landing a substantial win and the biggest prizes in the game.
Pros
- Part of a long-running successful slot series.
- It can pay both ways.
- There's a chance to upgrade the bonus before it begins.
Cons
- Much the same as many previous slots in the series.
- The power play seems pricey at 5x the base bet.
Eye of Horus Tablets of Destiny Megaways Slot Review Final Thoughts
Blueprint's Eye of Horus is one of the most loved slot series, especially in the UK, but I'm not quite sure we need yet another title in the franchise which does much the same as many of the games that have come before it. Sure, there are a few subtle differences, but I can't see you sticking around here for long if you're already well acquainted with the series as a whole. Anyway, give our free demo a blast and see what you make of it.
