Slot Overview
Duck Hunters Happy Hour is a high-volatility scatter-style slot from Nolimit City, and it’s a sequel to the somewhat chaotic original! Here, however, you’ll find boosted numbers, rearranged reels, and even more bonus options. Plus, there’s a maximum win potential of up to 33,333x! It’s a solid looking game, but does it deliver? Or is this another sequel that nobody asked for? The Demoslot team investigates in this comprehensive review!
Theme & Design
The original Duck Hunters game proved quite successful when it was first released, although some players said it was a little complex to keep up with. It’s not an entirely new theme, sure, and similar games like Duck Hunt 500, for example, exist, too.
Still, Duck Hunters Happy Hour is a decent-looking sequel, and while it shares many similarities, it actually does away with the wilderness vibe, instead transporting you to a backyard party!
Here, you’ll see sizzling barbeques, iced beers, and a pretty tongue-in-cheek American look that screams Nolimit City! The animations are solid, and the game runs smoothly, so there are no complaints from us here!

Duck Hunters Gameplay & Bonus Features
Duck Hunters Happy Hour uses a 6-reel grid arranged in a 4-5-6-6-5-4 pattern. The slot uses a scatter pays mechanic rather than conventional paylines. Wins are formed by landing 8+ identical symbols anywhere in view. You can bet between €0.20 and €100. The game’s default RTP is very slightly above average, at 96.07%, although lower RTP configurations do exist.
Now, any win triggers the Cascarding Reels mechanic, winning symbols and allowing new ones to drop in. Each removed symbol position gains a position multiplier, too, which begins at 2x. If that position wins again on the next cascade, the multiplier doubles, and these multipliers can reach up to a massive 8,192x!
Like most Nolimit City games, Duck Hunters Happy Hour has a ton of bonuses and features, and the first is the xWays symbols. When these land, they transform into regular symbols, while also increasing the multiplier on that position by 2x, 4x, or 8x. Infectious xWays symbols then spread that transformation to all identical symbols on the grid. Bomb symbols explode adjacent paying symbols, doubling affected multipliers before revealing a new symbol, too.
Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatter symbols triggers one of three Free Spins modes: Duck Hunt Spins (7 spins), Hawk Eye Spins (8 spins), or Big Game Spins (10 spins). During all bonuses, the multipliers on each position do not reset between spins. Each mode introduces its own modifiers/upgrades, too, from enhanced Bombs and Infections xWays symbols to easier re-triggers and more.
Free Spins can be re-triggered, and, like we’ve seen in many Nolimit City games recently, it’s also possible to buy an Extra Spin once the feature concludes.
Bonus Buy & Nolimit Boosters
Duck Hunters Happy Hour contains plenty of Bonus Buy/Nolimit Boosters, including:
- Bonus Booster: Costs 2x and makes it 5x more likely to land the Free Spins.
- Day 8 Spins: Costs 10x your bet, and awards a spin with all positions having an 8x multiplier.
- Day 64 Spins: Costs 90x your bet, and awards a spin with all positions having a 64x multiplier.
- 7 Duck Hunt Spins / 8 Hawk Eye Spins / 10 Big Game Spins: Costs 70x, 200x, or 600x respectively to instantly trigger these Free Spins rounds.
- Lucky Draw: Costs 235x, and randomly awards one of the three main Free Spins bonuses.
Pros
- Win up to 33,333x your bet.
- Chaotic multiplier mechanics offer solid win potential in both the base and bonus rounds.
- Extensive selection of Bonus Buy/Nolimit Boosters.
Cons
- Very high volatility won’t suit casual players.
- Feels a bit too similar to the original Duck Hunters.
- Very hard to land the two upper bonuses naturally.
Duck Hunters Happy Hour Slot Review Final Thoughts
Duck Hunters Happy Hour is a decent game, but, in our opinion, a slightly disappointing sequel. If Nolimit City had released this before Duck Hunters came out, we’d say it was an excellent release! The fact, however, that it’s almost identical to the original, with a marginally higher maximum win potential and a few different mechanics, means there’s simply not a lot to get excited about here.
Yes, you can win up to 33,333x which is going to appeal to a lot of players, and yes, it’s a Nolimit City release - so it’s going to get pretty solid play-time anyway. We just can’t help but feel the studio could have done something a little more interesting and unique here.
However, Duck Hunters Happy Hour is an enjoyable (albeit volatile) game, even if the core design does closely mirror its predecessor. Just make sure you’re playing the highest RTP configuration possible, as some operators can offer the game with an RTP as low as 92.07%.
