Game Overview

Could it ever really be classed as a trip to the casino if you didn’t have a little play on the tables? Well, how does a combo of both slots and dice where wilds are rampant sound? Perfect, as we have the ideal title for you to get stuck into today in the TaDa Gaming slot Dice & Drop, a 5-reel game with 10 fixed paylines, full reel wilds, a jackpot poker game, and a maximum win of 5,000x.

Theme & Design

Dice & Drop might start with a snazzy intro, but the overall theme and design of the slot are quite generic, with a plain purple backdrop to the playfield and fruit symbols on the reels. Of course, there is nothing at all wrong with this, but if you were hoping or expecting something a bit more modern, then you’ll be in for a surprise.

I know you’re eager to learn about the features of Dice & Drop, but first I’m going to give you a couple of extra games to try out from TaDa and their partner studio Jili. So, when you’re done rolling the dice today, head on over to our Fortune Gems 2 demo and Fortune Gems 500 demo slots, two popular releases I’m sure you’ll enjoy.

Dice & Drop Gameplay & Features

TaDa Gaming’s Dice & Drop is a 5-reel, 3-row online slot with 10 fixed paylines and a high RTP of 97.01%. Standard betting options on the game range from a minimum of €0.20 a spin up to a maximum of €100, making the slot accessible for players of all-sized budgets.

We finally reach the features of Dice & Drop, and to be honest, there isn’t much to the gameplay at all. The main symbol you are looking for to land on the reels is the dice, and if it is going to help create a win for you, it will expand into wilds. Now, the game sheet says it can expand up to 3×3 in size, but during our testing we had it go up to 4×4, and I have a feeling it might even be able to go to a full screen of wilds, which would pay a total of 750x your bet.

Okay, so a full screen of wilds pays 750x, probably leaving you wondering where the 5,000x max win comes from. Well, that is courtesy of the Jackpot Poker Game, which can trigger randomly at the end of any spin. Once activated, you are invited to choose from 12 face-down cards until you match 3, which will award its corresponding pot prize located above the reels.

Pros

  • High RTP.
  • Wilds can stack to help create bigger wins.
  • Simple to play.

Cons

  • The max win might be 5,000x, but in reality, it's 750x in standard play.
  • Flaky rules make it hard to understand what is achievable from the wilds.

Dice & Drop Slot Review Final Thoughts

Dice & Drop didn't get off to a great start for me, as having read the game sheet, it said wilds could expand in a 3x3 grid. So, when after a few spins I got a 4x4 expansion, I went to the rules for clarification. Once there I found none, so it was just a case of carrying on with the review and not really taking much notice of anything else I had read beforehand.

To conclude, some of you may enjoy what TaDa has done here, but once there was conflict between the rules and what I was seeing, it was only ever going to head downhill from my perspective. As I always say though, reviewing games is subjective, and your opinion may differ from mine, so fire up our demo and see what you think.
