NowNow Gaming’s Demon Queen utilises a 5×4 reel configuration, offering 20 fixed paylines per spin. Players can choose to bet from a minimum of €0.10 to a maximum of €100, whilst the game comes with a fair RTP of 96.26%.

A horizontal feature reel above the grid holds only blazing wilds and empty symbols. After a winning combo and its subsequent reel cascade, any open positions on the matching reels are filled by symbols dropped from the feature reel.

Blazing Wilds

There are three Blazing Wild types on the Feature Reel.

Multiplier Wild: When it drops, it acts as a normal wild and carries a multiplier that applies to any line win it helps. Multiple Multiplier Wilds in the same win add their multipliers together. Possible multipliers include 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x and up to 500x.

Filler Wild: When it lands on the grid, it erupts downward to the lowest available position on that reel. Any other empty positions on that reel convert into regular Wilds.

Locked Wild: Acts as a regular Wild until it wins. The first win breaks the lock but keeps the symbol on the reels. The second win removes it from the grid.

Devils Deal Free Spins

Landing 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols awards 10, 15 or 20 free spins, respectively. Base game mechanics remain active during the bonus, with one addition: the mystery wild can appear on the feature reel in the bonus. When the mystery wild drops onto the 5×4 grid, it awards an extra +1 to +5 free spins, then transforms into one of the three Blazing Wild types and activates its effect.

Theme & Design

Whilst I wouldn’t exactly call Demon Queen a full-on horror-themed slot like Nolimit City’s Possessed, it does have more of an adult element to it, with the lead Demon Queen character at the side of the reels not the type of person you’d want to bump into on a dark night.

Overall, the theme is quite well presented, but the continuous cackle of the Demon Queen does become annoying very quickly, which led to me muting the sound for much of the review.
