Deck of Divinity Bonus Features

Deck of Divinity is the follow-up to Deck of Scurra and keeps the card-based feel while building its bonus game around expanding prize decks and upgraded reward cards. Wins are formed when 5 or more matching symbol cards land anywhere on the 20-card grid, with winning cards removed and replaced. Alongside the standard low-, mid- and high-paying symbol cards, the game also uses prize cards and bonus cards. Prize Cards deal a new card on top when they appear, and when Symbol Cards are removed after a win, all revealed Prize Cards pay their displayed value multiplied by the bet.

The Divine Deck Bonus is triggered by landing 3 or more Bonus Cards in the base game. Three Bonus Cards award 8 free spins, 4 Bonus Cards award 10 free spins, and 5 Bonus Cards award 10 free spins while also filling the whole grid with Hidden Prize Cards each spin. During the bonus, prize cards are reused instead of disappearing permanently, and any paid prize cards up to tier 4 are upgraded by one tier before returning to the deck. Before the bonus starts, a card pack adds 12 prize cards to the deck, while the progress meter tracks all winning symbol cards and unlocks further card packs, better prize card pools and extra free spins as you move through the bonus.

Hidden prize cards are a major part of the feature, appearing in 1 to 5 random positions before each spin or on all 20 positions if the bonus was triggered with 5 bonus cards. Once revealed, they turn into regular prize cards and are added to the deck, helping the feature grow stronger as it goes on. The bonus buy menu includes a Super Slider feature bet at 1.5x the stake plus a direct Divine Deck bonus buy for 96x the selected bet.

Final Thoughts

I'm fully aware there's going to be a market for a slot in this style, but just like its predecessor, Deck of Scurra, I can't see the appeal to the game. Now, this could be down to pure state of mind, where sometimes you're just in the mood to spin the reels on something a little less complex, but I don't think there would ever be a time I was seeking paid entertainment where Deck of Divinity would be a slot I would choose, as it just takes up too much brain power to figure out what's going on.

Sure, as you've played it more, it is relatively simple to get to grips with, and using our free demo is a great way to do this without any cost, but at the end of the day, it just feels like far too much effort to me when there are better and simpler games already out there to play.
