Game Overview

Deadly Gangster Style is a Shootout-style from Skywind Group that offers Target Wilds, Multipliers, a Lock & Load Feature, Free Spins, and a maximum win potential of up to 25,000x! It sounds good, but is it any good? Let’s find out.

Theme & Design

Skywind Group have been around since 2012, and they’re not one of the biggest iGaming software providers, but they have a fairly steady footing and occasionally produce some decent video slots. You may recognise some of their previous titles like Lord of the Spins and Nunchucks Chicken, but today it’s Deadly Gangster Style we’ll be reviewing.

Now, Deadly Gangster Style may not be the most revolutionary-looking video slot in the world, but it looks decent enough, and the reels are set on top of a pretty well-designed NYC backdrop, albeit with deserted streets and a strange orange/yellow hue seen throughout.

Like most Skywind Group slots, it’s not the most intricately designed game, but it looks decent enough, and the reels, symbols, and game “action” buttons are easy to see and render well across all device types.

Deadly Gangster Style Gameplay & Bonus Features

Deadly Gangster Style is designed around a 5×5 grid layout. The game can be played between €0.20 and €200 per spin. There are 20 fixed paylines, and the game is offered in three RTP configurations: 96.50%, 94.50%, and 86.00%.

There are a LOT of bonuses and features in Deadly Gangster Style, the first of which is the Target Wild. When the wild symbol lands in view, IF it forms part of a win, it expands, substituting for all paying symbols. A multiplier of up to 500x is also applied. The gangster shoots randomly to determine the final wild multiplier.

Landing three of the green scatter symbols anywhere in view awards The Collector Job bonus round. You then receive 8 free games. During this feature, special Collector Job Wilds come into play. These can appear with or without a multiplier ranging from 2x to 500x.

Every time you land a Collector Job Wild without a multiplier, it locks in place and changes position on every spin. The feature also has a unique “Multiplier Box”, which begins empty.

Any multipliers you collect are added to this box, and the box doesn’t reset until the bonus round ends. If a Collector Job Wild multiplier forms part of a winning combo, the multiplier value is collected and added before the total Free Game Bonus multiplier is applied to the total win at the end.

There is also another separate bonus round, Lock&Load. This is triggered by landing three Lock&Load scatter symbols. You then receive 8 free games. During these spins, the Target Wild Feature is active every time a wild symbol lands, regardless of whether it forms part of a winning combo or not. All wild symbols that expand with multipliers are locked in place until the feature ends.

Buy In Feature

Deadly Gangster Style contains two bonus buy options for players in countries and regions where feature buys are available:

  • Collector Job Feature: Costs 100x your base game stake
  • Lock&Load Feature: Costs 250x your base game stake

Pros

  • Win up to 25,000x.
  • Plenty of bonuses and features.
  • Expanding wilds offer base game action.

Cons

  • The lowest RTP setting of 86.00% is atrocious.
  • Lock&Load bonus buy option is very expensive.
  • Quite a lot going on; can be hard to understand

Deadly Gangster Style Slot Review Final Thoughts

Deadly Gangster Style, like most of the slot machines we see from Skywind Group, is unlikely to become a true “hit” in the way that games like Sweet Bonanza 1000 and Book of Dead do.

Still, we can’t help but feel Deadly Gangster Style is actually a pretty impressive slot. Sure, the software provider hasn’t done the BEST job of explaining how the bonuses and features work (it was a little complex for us to understand), but once you get the hang of how things work, there’s quite a lot working in the slot’s favour.

We like the fact that the base game has expanding wilds, with potential multipliers, as this ensures you’re not just waiting around for bonuses to land to see action. On the topic of bonuses, we also like the fact there are two; the Lock&Load Feature and The Collector Job Feature. Both offer some decent payout potential, and the game, with a maximum win potential of 25,000x, should appeal to those looking for high variance slot action!

Deadly Gangster Style may not reinvent the wheel, but Skywind Group has done a pretty good job, and the way they’ve presented the bonuses and features inside the game is excellent. Just take note of which version of the game you’re playing, as some online casinos will offer the 86.00% one - and that’s shockingly low! But, overall, a good game, well-worth checking out in our opinion!
