Game Overview
Das xBoot 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the original Das xBoot U-boat-inspired slot by Nolimit City. And now, everything has been dialled up; the volatility, the complexity, and the actual win potential! The game looks quite familiar, but now you’ll find new mechanics like the Golden Torpedo Builder, upgraded periscopes, and three separate free spins modes. Oh, and did we mention the maximum win potential of 59,999x? Learn all about the game here in this review.
Theme & Design
Nolimit City’s original Das xBoot is one of their most successful releases to date, and it was instantly a hit with players thanks to its unique submarine design, innovative mechanics, and explosive win potential.
Das xBoot 2 keeps things quite similar to its predecessor, and you’ll see the reels set within a cramped submarine interior with familiar-looking metal panels, pipes, and gauges surrounding the reels. The reels themselves sit in the middle of a control room, and you’ll see the periscope and targeting area at the top.
Now, if you’re a fan of other complex Nolimit City releases like San Quentin 2, Das xBoot 2 will probably be right up your street. It also gives off quite a strong Pearl Harbour vibe, and you’ll see Nolimit City’s iconic style well and truly shown off here.

Das Xboot 2 Gameplay & Bonus Features
Das xBoot 2 is played on a 6-reel layout with a 2-3-4-4-3-2 setup, giving 576 ways to win on every spin. You can bet between €0.20 and €100 per spin. The game offers a very slightly below-average RTP of 95.94%.
Now, at the core of the gameplay are several trademark Nolimit mechanics. xNudge Wilds are 4-row wild symbols that nudge to fill their reel, increasing a wild multiplier with each nudge. You’ll also see xWays symbols on reels 2 and 5, and these expand into 2 or 3 matching symbols, while xBomb wilds clear non-winning symbols from the grid, increase a global multiplier, and allow a fresh cascade to drop in.
One of the key differences in Das xBoot 2 is the upgraded periscope mechanic. Now, Periscope Up! can randomly extend reel 3 and drop in a special Periscope Wild. Hit the target, and the wild expands and nudges down the reel, increasing its multiplier one by one. The game also introduces a brand new Torpedo Builder and Golden Torpedo Builder.
If you manage to fill the boat symbol in the area above the reels, you can build a torpedo over three different spins, collecting xWays and xWays Wilds into a “tube” below reels 2, 3, 4, and 5. Complete the torpedo, and it fires, overlaying those stored values onto the reels for one main spin. The golden version does the same, but here, only +8 or +88 values can land, so it’s pretty easy to see where things can get crazy here.
Now, Das xBoot 2 also has had its free spins mechanics upgraded, and there are now three modes. Landing 3 scatter symbols awards Silent Hunter Spins with a persistent periscope multiplier that grows each time the wild nudges. Landing 4 scatter symbols awards Wolf Pack Spins. Here, you get to repeatedly upgrade and relaunch torpedoes as boats appear above the reels.
If you manage to land 5 scatter symbols, you’ll trigger the Battle of the Atlantic Spins, and here, both mechanics are combined; you get expanding periscopes and torpedo building. Like the original Das xBoot, Das xBoot 2 sees xBomb multipliers sticking in place for the duration of the feature, and landing extra scatter symbols awards +2 spins, too.
You can also choose to purchase Extra Spins after the features conclude. These cost money from your feature win but lock the bonus round in its current state and award +1 spin.
Bonus Buy & Nolimit Boosters
As you’d expect from Nolimit City, Das xBoot 2 contains a few Bonus Buy/Nolimit Booster options:
- Bonus Booster: Costs 1.5x and guarantees a scatter symbol on each spin
- Periscope Booster: Costs 8x and guarantees Periscope Up!
- Torpedo Booster: Costs 20x and guarantees a Torpedo Builder via a full normal boat
- Golden Torpedo Booster: Costs 4,500x and guarantees a Golden Torpedo Boat
You can also buy into the 3 free spins modes directly for a cost of 80x, 250x, and 750x, respectively.
Pros
- Insane maximum win potential of 59,999x.
- Tonnes of bonuses and features, including upgraded mechanics over the original.
- Periscope and torpedo mechanics are very exciting.
Cons
- RTP is slightly below average.
- Das xBoot 2 is a pretty complex game to understand.
- It’s an incredibly volatile slot.
Das Xboot 2 Slot Review Final Thoughts
As Nolimit City likes to do best, Das xBoot 2 isn’t a gentle, “walk in the park” type of follow-up game. Instead, the software provider has taken the bones of the original slot and done pretty much everything they can to make the sequel bigger and better - to pretty good effect, we feel.
Having both periscope and torpedo mechanics active in the base game keeps regular spins more engaging, and the base game is now far more playable, in our opinion. We also like the fact that Nolimit City has added an extra free spins mode, and this all helps the game to edge towards the massive maximum win potential of 59,999x.
Visually, sure, it’s not the most unique-looking sequel in the world, but that’s pretty much exactly what Nolimit City wanted, in our opinion. It’s also not for the faint-hearted, as Das xBoot 2 is extremely volatile, and it can get massively expensive if you’re not careful. The fact the Golden Torpedo Builder costs a staggering 4,500x on its own should give you a taste of just what Das xBoot 2 has to offer.
So, you may well need a few sessions to truly get a feel for the game and how it works - but if you can put up with the swings and don’t mind extreme volatility, then Das xBoot 2 is a must-play in our book.

I’ve never played a game with such extreme tension. It’s incredibly difficult to gain an advantage.
I’m going to try this game because the comments say it’s fun, and I hope to get good prizes or free spins. If it works well, I’ll try it with real money. I’ll leave another comment to let you know how it goes, hehe.
I had so much fun playing this game, I keep buying respin until I got the maxwin , if it is my real money ,I would be jumping right now, sorry for my bad english 🙂
