Gameplay & Bonus Features

Cult is played on a 5-reel, 4-row grid with 25 fixed paylines, and you can bet from €0.25 to €250 per spin. The game carries an RTP that can reach up to 96.51%, although lower RTP configurations are available, too.

The game’s main mechanic is Multiplier Wild. Each one carries a random value between 2x and 100x, and when at least one win lands on the reels and a Multiplier Wild is involved, its value is added to a total multiplier for that spin. The combined multiplier is then applied to the entire win. In the base game, this multiplier resets between spins; during the Free Spins, however, it persists for the duration of the feature.

Landing 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols awards 10, 15, or 20 free spins, respectively. During this feature, the total multiplier no longer resets after each spin, as mentioned. You can also win extra free games by landing additional Scatter symbols during the feature.

Bonus Buy & Ante Bet

Cult includes both an ante bet and multiple buy options. The Ante Bet increases the chance of triggering free spins by 10x, at a cost of 5x your base game stake. Super Spins cost 10x and guarantee at least one Multiplier Wild on each spin. You can also buy standard Free Spins for 100x and Super Free Spins for 500x.

Theme & Design

Cult is clearly satire-heavy, and you’ll see a congregation of robed cult followers gathered in front of a guru, in the base game, anyway. When the Free Spins bonus is triggered, the mood and game change quite a lot, and you’re transported to a mansion pool party, instead; a little unusual, but definitely a game poking fun at the hypocrisy behind these cults!

In terms of tone and presentation, Cult sits somewhere between the boldness of Gates of Olympus and the character-focused storytelling of SixSixSix, for us. It’s pretty unique, however, and we’re not entirely sure if it’s possible to say there’s a game that is similar to this!
