Game Overview
Coin of Lightning: Hit The Cash, from TaDa Gaming, is a Greek-god-inspired video slot that is classed as being medium variance, offers a coin collection mechanic, 3 different types of bonuses, and a maximum win potential of up to 3,000x. Is it worth playing? Find out in this Coin of Lightning: Hit The Cash slot review.
Theme & Design
Coin of Lightning: Hit The Cash is set inside a marble temple floating high above the clouds, a pretty impressive-looking hall showing white pillars, marble flooring, and electric-charged red skies in the backdrop. Of course, we guess it’s meant to show the home of Zeus, Mount Olympus, a theme we’ve seen a LOT in the online gambling world.
Above the reels sits a pile of gold coins, constantly growing with each Lightning Coin or Collect symbol that appears below. Slightly above, you’ll see the game’s four jackpot values, too, and on the whole, we feel it looks pretty good. It’s certainly in line with the quality we’ve seen from Ta Da Gaming lately, in releases like Supernova and Cash Coin.

Coin of Lightning Gameplay & Features
Coin of Lightning: Hit The Cash is played on a five-reel, three-row grid, and there are 20 fixed paylines. Wins are paid from left to right; you can bet between €0.20 and €200 per spin. The game offers an impressively high RTP of 97.06%.
Now, there’s not a huge amount happening in Coin of Lightning: Hit The Cash, but there’s enough to keep the game fairly lively. Lightning Coins appear on reels 1, 2, 3, and 4, and these display cash prizes of between 0.5x and 10x your bet. Jackpots can also land, and include Mini (15x), Minor (25x), Major (100x), and Grand (1,000x.)
The key is the Lightning Coin Collect symbol on reel 5; whenever it lands, it collects up all Lightning Coins and Jackpot Coins currently on the reels and pays them out instantly.
Now, any Lightning Coin or Collect symbol that lands also gets added to the gold pile above the reels, and this can randomly trigger the Lightning Coin Toss feature. When activated, up to 12 Lightning Coins are added to the reels, or up to 3 Collect Coins are added to reel 5.
There is no free spins bonus in Coin of Lightning: Hit The Cash, but you will see scatter symbols on the reels. These simply pay a cash prize, as shown below:
- 3 Scatters: 5x your bet
- 4 Scatters: 20x your bet
- 5 Scatters: 500x your bet
Pros
- Excellent 97.06% RTP, well above the industry average.
- Four different localised jackpots.
- The Lightning Coin Collect mechanic triggers frequently.
Cons
- Max win is just 3,000x.
- No free spins or bonus rounds.
- Medium volatility won’t suit everyone.
Coin of Lightning Slot Review Final Thoughts
Coin of Lightning: Hit The Cash is a pretty decent-looking slot, and we definitely don’t think it’s the worst release we’ve ever seen. The RTP is well above average, coming in at 97.06%; there’s a fair amount of bonus action (consider there is no standalone free spins feature), and the combination of instant-win Lightning Coins, jackpot symbols, and random Coin Toss drops keeps the gameplay pretty fun, to be honest.
Still, it’s hard to look past the game’s faults, too. The maximum win potential is pretty low at just 3,000x, and once you’ve played for a while, you quickly realise there’s not that much happening. Still, Ta Da Gaming clearly aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel here, and if you’re looking for a slot that looks great, offers smooth, medium variance gameplay, and contains a few modern coin-collect mechanics, Coin of Lightning: Hit The Cash could be worth a few spins.
