Game Overview
Nicknames are a wonderful thing, and I’m sure if you think back hard enough, you’ll remember some absolute classics from your younger years or maybe even in your working environment today. Why am I talking about this? That would be down to today’s slot review from Peter & Sons that just scratched that part of my mind and made me think about some of the funny names that have stuck in my circle of friends over the years. Anyway, more about the game, which is titled Bubblegum & Robo and features sticky wilds, multipliers, free spins, and wins that can hit the heights of 20,000x the bet.
Theme & Design
I always look forward to opening up a Peter & Sons slot release, as more often than not, the graphics are totally unique and really make the studio stand out from everybody else. I guess what I’m saying is that you can spot a Peter and Sons title a mile off due to their style and superior workmanship that goes into the design. That again can be said about Bubblegum and Robo, where a duo are seemingly thrown into some kind of industrial-age future, where monsters lurk and robots seek to save the day; at least that’s my take on things. Oh, and the soundtrack makes the game too and is totally killer, so plug in your headphones and dial up the volume to get the most out of it.
This is the section of the review where I would normally throw some similar games your way to try out, but on this occasion I’m going to keep you with the same provider so you can explore a couple more of their titles if you want to get to know them a little better. So, when you’re done saving the world today, go and check out Alibi and the amazing Dig it.

Bubblegum & Robo Gameplay & Features
Peter & Sons’ Bubblegum and Robo is a 5-reel, 5-row online slot with 15 fixed paylines and an RTP of 96%. The game offers players a good range of staking options, with standard bets starting from a minimum of €0.10 a spin and reaching a maximum of €50.
Okay, let’s get stuck into the gameplay, and Bubblegum & Robo centres around two kinds of wild symbols. The first is the Vs wild, and when this lands, two multipliers with values up to 100x battle it out, with the winner expanding the full length of the reel and applying itself to any wins that have been formed. The second is the random wild, and when an expanding wild hits but doesn’t form a win, it can add random wilds to any positions within the playfield.
That leaves the main bonus round to tell you about, which triggers when 3 or more scatters appear in view, awarding 10 free spins. During this round, all expanding wilds remain sticky for the duration of the feature, and if a new expanded wild has the highest multiplier of all wilds on the grid, it upgrades other wilds to match its multiplier.
Bonus Buy
If you wish to play with a greater risk, you can choose from the following enhanced betting options:
- Golden Bet: Increases the chance of a bonus feature at the cost of 1.5x the base bet.
- Feature Buy: Triggers the free spins instantly at the cost of 100x the bet.
Pros
- The game looks absolutely fantastic.
- Who doesn't love sticky wilds, especially when they can hold values of up to 100x.
- The game has a max win of 20,000x.
Cons
- We love it, but the theme may not suit all players.
- Below average RTP.
Bubblegum & Robo Slot Review Final Thoughts
There may be some familiar features found in Bubblegum & Robo, but the design and theme of this game are so brilliant, it's hard not to love it. Yes, I do get that it's not going to be for everyone, and we have seen expanding wilds with battling multipliers plenty of times before, but for me it's a great game and one I strongly recommend you try.
