Slot Overview

Brawler’s Brew is a high-volatility video slot from Quickspin that acts as a sequel to one of their previous releases, Brawler’s Bar. There’s a lot going on, including multiple Free Spins modes, a Brew Collection mechanic and an optional Extra Bet, and with a maximum win of up to 7,620x, it looks good – IF you’re a fan of Irish-themed slots. So, what’s the Demoslot verdict? Read on to find out.

Theme & Design

Brawlers Brew takes place inside an Irish pub, although this isn’t the nice kind of establishment you may want to spend some serious time in; it’s dirty, cluttered, and looks like you’re just one spilt pint away from chaos! Now, if you played the original Brawler’s Bar, you will already have a fairly good feel for the theme and how it works, but if you’re new to Quickspin’s range of Irish-pub-themed games and also enjoy titles like Brew Brothers, then you’ll also likely feel equally at home with the theme!

Brawlers Brew Gameplay & Bonus Features

Brawler’s Brew uses a 5-reel, 5-row layout with 10 fixed paylines, and you can bet from €0.10 to €100 per spin. The RTP is set at 96.12% in standard play, nudging up to 96.22% when the Extra Bet is activated.

At the core of the gameplay is the Brew Collection feature. Brew symbols appear with multiplier values ranging from 1x up to 25x, and any Wild symbol on the reels acts as a Collector, adding the combined Brew values directly to your win for that spin. Wilds substitute for all regular symbols and can appear on all reels, too, so they also serve a “normal” Wild purpose.

Another key mechanic is Lucky Upgrade. When a Wild lands, low-paying symbols can randomly transform into Brew symbols, which are then immediately collected by the brawler.

The game’s main Free Spins bonus is triggered by landing 3+ Bonus Scatters anywhere in view. Three symbols award 10 spins and activate Golden Tray, four symbols grant 12 spins with On the House, and five symbols unlock 14 spins and the Irish Slammer mode.

During the bonus, a Wild Meter tracks collected Wilds, and reaching 6 or 12 Wilds upgrades the bonus and awards +2 free games. The Golden Tray mechanic introduces a Multiplier that increases when it lands partially or fully in view. On The House always nudges the tray upwards when it lands, and Irish Slammer turns uncollected trays into sticky symbols.

Bonus Buy & Extra Bet

Brawler’s Brew includes both a Bonus Buy and an Extra Bet. The Bonus Buy costs 45x for Golden Tray Free Spins, 100x for One The House Free Spins, or 200x for Irish Slammer Free Spins. The Extra Bet doubles your stake but adds a special row below the reels, making it easier to trigger the Brew Collection mechanic.

Pros

  • Fairly well-thought-out bonus mechanics.
  • Solid use of Wild Collectors and Brew Multipliers.
  • 3x Bonus Buy options + Extra Bet.

Cons

  • Just 10 paylines won’t appeal to all players.
  • The theme is bland, boring - and regurgitated.
  • Bonus Buy/Extra Bet options unavailable in some regions

Brawlers Brew Slot Review Final Thoughts

Brawler’s Brew is a slot that, to be honest, makes us feel “meh” when we look at it. Now, clearly, it prioritises features over simplicity, and this means the actual gameplay can be quite complex at first, which is surprising, given the boring and overdone theme.

Still, once you get the hang of things and understand how the multipliers, upgrades, and collection mechanics work, it’s surprisingly fun. We wish Quickspin had opted for a different theme but also understand they wanted to follow up on their Brawler’s Bar.

The maximum win potential of 7,620x is decent enough, and the 3x Bonus Buy/Extra Bet is good, too, so, for us, it’s probably not a game we’d play, but that’s purely due to the theme. It’s a good game, just not for us.
