Game Overview
Online slot developer Nolimit City has never been one to shy away from weird and wacky themes, but Bizarre may be one of their strangest titles yet, and you’ll be headed straight into Dr Frankenstein’s world. If you can put up with the disturbing theme (and experiments on animals), you may want to check this one out – and win up to 20,000x your bet in return!
Theme & Design
When a slot is called Bizarre, you can safely assume you’re not getting rolling hills, leprechauns, and rainbow jackpots, and this slot does indeed meet that promise! Set in an old, abandoned farmhouse-turned-laboratory, Bizarre plunges you right into the stuff of nightmares. You’ll see a variety of stitched-up animals on the reels, and you can’t help but even feel a bit sorry for them!
If you’re already familiar with Nolimit City’s titles like Mental or Serial, the theme probably won’t shock you, but if you are for some reason new to the provider, the graphics may be a little disturbing for you!

Bizarre Gameplay & Bonus Features
Bizarre is played on a five-reel, four-row grid. There are 20 fixed paylines that pay wins from left to right. The game is highly volatile and comes with a very slightly above-average RTP of 96.06%. You can bet between €0.20 and €100 per spin.
The core of the base game is the xSplit mechanic. This special symbol can land on either edge reel as a single icon or fully stacked. When it does, it splits all other symbols in its row, doubling their size before turning wild.
Landing three scatters triggers the Chimera Spins, awarding three free spins. Before the feature begins, the middle three reels spin to reveal sticky wilds or extra-spin symbols. Each time new wilds or spin icons land, they lock in place and award a respin. Once no new additions appear, the round begins, and all of the wild symbols that you’ve managed to collect are carried through. Plus, any wild symbol that was split by an xSplit gets a sticky multiplier that remains active for the entire feature.
If you manage to land two scatters and a super scatter, you’ll also trigger the Super Chimera Spins. This mode mirrors the standard bonus, with the difference being that all scatters transform into sticky wilds from the beginning.
Once the free spins are finished, you may also be offered the Extra Spin option. This allows you to purchase a single additional spin while keeping the previous wilds and multipliers in place. The cost depends on the value of those multipliers, and it’s only available if the price doesn’t exceed your current winnings.
Next, there’s the Coinage feature, although unusually, this can’t be landed naturally and can only be purchased for a cost of 200x your bet. In this mode, only coins with values of up to 1,000x can land on the reels, alongside a few special symbols. The reels continue to spin until there are no empty positions left, at which point the bonus round ends and you’re paid the sum of all coins landed.
Nolimit City Modifiers / Bonus Buy
Bizarre includes Nolimit’s trademark modifiers and bonus buy options, if you live in a region where they’re legal.
xBoost doubles your base game stake but guarantees a scatter on reel 2, while Bonus Hunt costs 30x your base game stake and only puts scatter symbols on the reels, increasing your chances of landing the feature by 49x.
Finally, there are the straight-up bonus buys: Chimera Spins cost 120x, Super Chimera Spins cost 400x, Lucky Draw costs 190x, and Coinage costs 200x.
Pros
- Win up to 20,000x.
- Sticky multipliers and wilds.
- Multiple bonuses and features.
Cons
- Coinage feature only available via bonus buy.
- Base game is very volatile.
- The visuals (mutilated animals) may be too much for some players.
Bizarre Slot Review Final Thoughts
Bizarre is exactly what it claims to be; a truly bizarre slot that’s (even for Nolimit City) strange, twisted, and fascinating. It’s not their most impressive release, in our opinion, but it’s a slot that’s well-designed, well-made, and offers some unique mechanics.
We really like the fact that Bizarre feels much more straightforward than many of their titles (it’s not as confusing to understand as many of their more recent releases, for example), but it’s also not perfect. We find it quite strange that the Coinage bonus round can only be purchased via a bonus buy, and this instantly means that players from countries like the UK will never be able to access a “full” version of the game.
Still, there’s plenty to get excited about if you are able to put up with the theme, and if you can grin your way through the discomfort, you may have a shot of escaping this horrific lab and walking away with prizes worth up to 20,000x!
