Game Overview

Big Money Frenzy is Blueprint Gaming’s attempt to bring back classic, old-school slot energy, and it uses simple paylines, straightforward mechanics, and a classic streak-respin bonus format. It’s not the most innovative game in the world, but is it worth a play? Let’s find out.

Theme & Design

Big Money Frenzy looks like a slot pulled straight from the early 2000s, complete with chunky symbols, thick borders, and a very literal “money equates to excitement” theme. You’ll see jewels, gold bars, stacks of bills, and shiny coins on the reels, and the game itself is set atop a vault-like backdrop.

If you’re a fan of games like Break Da Bank Again Megaways or Da Vinci Diamonds, you’ll probably feel right at home with Big Money Frenzy. However, it’s far from being the most modern-looking game in the world, and while it does look nostalgic in a way, it does feel dated, even if that was the intention.

Big Money Frenzy Cash Gains Gameplay & Bonus Features

Big Money Frenzy is played on a five-reel, three-row layout, and there are ten fixed paylines in play at all times. You can bet between €0.10 and €200 per spin, and the RTP is very slightly above average at 96.05%. As soon as you begin to play, you’ll notice there isn’t a huge amount going on. You won’t even see any wild symbols, for example.

Pretty much the entire core of the game revolves around mystery symbols and two hold-and-win bonus rounds. The mystery symbols are golden dollar tiles, and when a group of them land in view, they all transform into the same symbol. This can also include the Money Spin scatter.

The bulk of the slot’s action, however, comes from landing symbols with framed cash values, as any amount of these triggers the Money Spins bonus. Here, triggering symbols lock in place while the reels convert into individual spinning cells, awarding three respins that reset each time a new cash symbol lands. The round ends when spins run out or the grid becomes full.

Now, if you manage to land any of the special “Frenzy” symbols, you can trigger the enhanced Frenzy Spins round, too. Frenzy Spins work similarly to Money Spins, except cash symbols do not reset the respin counter. Instead, the number of Frenzy Spins you’re awarded depends on how many triggering symbols appear.

Pros

  • Massive maximum win potential of 50,000x.
  • Mystery symbols land regularly in the base game.
  • Two fast-paced re-spin bonuses.

Cons

  • No wilds and very basic gameplay.
  • Both re-spin bonuses often pay poorly.
  • Graphics and theme feels outdated.

Big Money Frenzy Cash Gains Slot Review Final Thoughts

We can see what Blueprint Gaming was trying to do with Big Money Frenzy, but we feel as though they’ve missed the mark here. Sure, there’s a very specific type of player you might like, and it’s mechanically sound - but there’s very little action, and nothing innovative or unique.

The lack of wilds and very “flat” feeling base game means you’re basically reliant on the mystery symbols landing, or the re-spin bonuses triggering, but even then, it’s not uncommon for both features to pay very little, so we have no clue how you’d go about getting anywhere near to the game’s maximum win potential of 50,000x!

Big Money Frenzy isn’t a game for us, but there are some players who may enjoy the dated, old-school look and feel of it, we suppose.
