Game Overview

It’s clear the Reel Kingdom/Pragmatic Play Big Bass collaboration has been successful, but with 17 slots to date and another I’m reviewing today, they’re starting to look packed like sardines in the casino lobbies I regularly visit. It honestly feels like you cannot scroll a page without seeing Big Bass Bonanza Bashing Boats Megaways or slots titled similarly to that exaggeration. Those lobbies now have another to contend with, as the development duo has just released Big Bass Mission Fishin, a 5×3 slot with 10 paylines, a 5,000x max win, and a 96.50% RTP.

As for the features, I’m not sure what to tell you. Most of them you’ve enjoyed before on the other slots in the series. There is the free spins bonus, which allows Fisherman Wilds to collect cash prizes, although admittedly, landing the big one (5,000x) will surely have you packing up your rod for the day. The biggest change in this latest release is an additional bonus game called Stack the Cash. It’s a Hold and Win game that offers something different, but in all honesty, I prefer the tried and tested free spins bonus. You should try it out once or twice, though.

It’s understandable if any of you have grown tired of this franchise, but you’re here now, so you might as well try the Big Bass Mission Fishin’ slot demo. You’ve played all the others, so why not complete the set?

Big Bass Mission Fishin Slot Paytable

Is there a more apt term than ‘there’s plenty more fish in the sea’ when it comes to Big Bass slots? If you’re not a fan of this latest iteration, perhaps one of the gazillion others in the series will prove more appealing. It’s not like you’re short of options after all, and I’ll point you toward some of the best-rated free play slots in the series here at Demoslot. The original is a good place to start, as it is one of the best-rated, and you get to see where the franchise began. Admittedly, as you work through titles such as Big Bass Bonanza Keeping It Reel, Bigger Bass Bonanza, and Big Bass Splash, you’ll quickly see they offer similar gameplay to the original.

While I don’t want to spoil it for you, the same goes for Big Bass Mission Fishin’. Even the symbols on the paytable will be familiar to those who have played some of these slots before. The Fishing Boat is the best paying, with a return of 200x for a five-symbol combination. The Dragonfly follows that with a top reward of 100x, while the Speargun, Tacklebox, and Fish return up to 50x, 50x, and 20x, respectively. The non-premiums are the Ace and King, offering up to 10x, and the Queen, Jack, and Ten, which pay up to 5x for a winning connection of five.

There’s no change regarding the staking options on Big Bass Mission Fishin, which means you can wager between a minimum of €0.10 and a maximum of €250.00 per spin.

Big Bass Mission Fishin Slot Base Game & Modifiers

Big Bass Mission Fishin Slot Base Game
Big Bass Mission Fishin slot base game

As with most Big Bass titles, the base game offers little in terms of action and features. The reel matrix is a standard 5×3 configuration with 10 fixed paylines. When you line up three or more (or two or more of the Boat) matching symbols from left to right across a payline, you win a payout.

Money Symbols

The Fish symbols that land on the reels can carry cash values of 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 200x, 500x, or 5,000x your current stake. However, these symbols are worthless during the base game, as you can only win those values during the free spins bonus.

Ante Bet

The Ante Bet, a common feature in Pragmatic Play slots, makes a return on Big Bass Mission Fishin’. It costs 1.5x your current stake but lets you spin with a higher chance to trigger the bonus features.

Second Chance

On spins where two scatter symbols land but not a third, there is a chance one of the following random features will trigger:

  • If there are two scatter symbols on the reels and there is another space for both to move down one position without falling off the reels, those scatters could move that position while all other reels are given a respin.
  • Alternatively, a random hook can appear and pull a scatter to the reels from positions below.

Big Bass Mission Fishin Slot Bonus Features

That free spins bonus is triggered when three or more scatter symbols appear on the reels during a spin. Alternatively, once collected, you can choose to play an alternate bonus game, the Stack the Cash feature.

Free Spins Feature

For the 3, 4, or 5 triggering scatter symbols that land during the base game, you receive 10, 15, or 20 free spins. Before the bonus starts, you pick from six positions to reveal special modifiers until one position reveals the Boot, which begins the bonus round. Those modifiers are:

  • More fish symbols on the reels
  • More Fisherman wild symbols on the reels
  • More dynamite, Hook, or Bazooka random features can trigger
  • You can start from level 2 on the progressive aspect of the feature
  • 2 Extra free spins to start and an additional 2 spins for each retrigger

During the free spins bonus, the Fisherman wild symbols collect the money values from all fish symbols when they land on the same spin. Furthermore, those wilds are collected in a progressive meter above the reels. Each fourth instance of that symbol that’s collected rewards you with 10 extra free spins and an increased cash prize win multiplier. The first four collected give you 2x, the next four unlock 3x, and collecting enough for the final stages gives you 10x.

Stack The Cash

Instead of free spins, you can opt for the Stack the Cash Bonus, which resembles a Hold & Win bonus game. You’re whisked away to a new set of reels that, initially, have no symbols on them. You start with four spins, and should a Fish Coin symbol holding a 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, or 25x cash value land, that spin count resets back to four.

If an entire reel is filled with coins, a crab beneath eats the symbols and collects the values. Furthermore, every time fish symbols land, a bomb icon explodes on a random reel to double the values of all cash prizes on it or held by the crab below it. The bonus continues until you run out of spins. At that point, you will receive all the cash values collected by the crabs.

Pros

  • A choice of bonus games separates this from most other Big Bass games.

Cons

  • While the bonus games are worth the wait, the base game can get tedious.

Big Bass Mission Fishin Slot Review Final Thoughts

All the Big Bass slots share similarities, but there’s usually a new mechanic, feature, or tweak to differentiate them from each other. In this particular case, I’d say the title that resembles Big Bass Mission Fishin’ the most is Big Bass Splash. In fact, aside from the addition of the Stack the Cash Bonus Game on this one, they’re practically identical. Logic would then suggest if you liked that one, you’re going to enjoy this one even more.
