Game Overview
In online slots, for the most part, when there’s any fighting to be done, we’re often given a hero as a main character to follow, but studio Bullshark Games are flipping the switch on that front and present us a battle-worn heroine to get behind in their release of Belle The Blade Hunter, a 5-reel game with 20 fixed paylines, free spins, and a maximum win of 10,000x.
Theme & Design
It’s got to be said from the start that Belle does look to be one hell of a badass, and as the game hits your screen with an enchanted forest in the background, she appears on one side of the reels, whilst her trusty and vicious-looking sidekick wolf is on the other. As a whole, the design of the slot looks good, and as we’ve now come to expect from Bullshark, the graphics are of a high standard, with the game also featuring smooth animations.
Let’s fire some recommendations your way next before we get into the gameplay, and I’m going to stay with the provider Bullshark so you can experience some more of their releases if you’re still a little unfamiliar with the provider. So, once you’re done slaying enemies today, why not try out our Age of Seth demo or the Jawsome Pirates demo, two fantastic titles from the studio.

Belle The Blade Hunter Gameplay & Features
Bullshark Games’ Belle The Blade Hunter is a 5-reel, 4-row slot game with 20 fixed paylines and an RTP of 96.31%. As with all titles in the Bullshark portfolio, players have an extensive selection of bets to choose from, starting at a minimum of €0.10 a spin and reaching a maximum of €100.
Moving onto the features, the wild symbol plays a huge part in the gameplay. Each time a symbol lands, it adds to or increases the cell multiplier on that cell. When Wild symbols jump to new cells, they apply a new random multiplier to the cells they land on. Possible additive values: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x. Possible multiplicative values: x2, x3, x4, x5, x10.
When it is part of a win, it applies its cell’s multiplier to that win. When multiple symbols are in the same win, their multipliers are added together and applied to the win. In the base game, the symbol increases the cell multiplier only if there is at least one win on the grid.
If three wilds land in the base, the respin feature is triggered. The wild symbols will remain persistent and move across the grid. With each new spin the wilds will move to new locations and increase the cell multipliers there. If at least one new wild lands during a respin, another respin will be awarded.
Last up, we have the free spins bonus, activated when 3, 4, or 5 scatters land in view. The following feature will then play out:
- 3 Scatter Bonus: Starts with 8 spins, with each triggering scatter adding a multiplier to a random cell, which increase progressively. Wild symbols are persistent and move across the grid, moving to a new position on each spin, increasing the cell multipliers there.
- 4 Scatter Bonus: Starts with 10 spins and plays the same as a 3 scatter bonus.
- 5 Scatter Bonus: Starts with 12 spins and plays the same as a 3/4 scatter bonus, but wilds now appear more frequently with one guaranteed on the first spin.
Bonus Buy
Players wanting to ramp up the bets and play with more risk can choose from the following options:
- BonusHunt FeatureSpins: Each spin is 5 times more likely to trigger the bonus – Costs 3x the base bet.
- Blade Frenzy FeatureSpins: At least 3 wilds are guaranteed to land – Costs 50x the base bet.
- Wild Stalk Free Spins: Costs 100x the base bet.
- Savage Slayer Free Spins: Costs 200x the base bet.
Pros
- Features roaming wilds, which can increase cell values.
- A good max win that hits 10,000x.
- It's great to see a heroine in action for a change.
- Lots of enhanced betting options.
Cons
- It can be a little disappointing on the respin feature if the wilds don't connect on the respin that follows, especially if you have a good few in play.
- There's not really any difference between a 3 and 4 scatter trigger.
Belle The Blade Hunter Slot Review Final Thoughts
Bullshark Games are definitely one of my favourite providers that operate on Hackaw's OpenRGS platform, and they are certainly one of the most active, with their portfolio growing much faster than many of the other studios under the same umbrella. This has led to several excellent releases from the provider, and although I don't think Belle The Blade Hunter is the best work to come out of the software house, it's still a fantastic-looking game with some appealing features, and it's well worth some spin time in my opinion, even if that's just in our demo slot.
