I’ve yet to travel to Bali, but it has been on my bucket list for many years, mainly due to my father holidaying there and saying it was one of the most beautiful places he’d ever seen. I’ll get there one day, that’s for sure, but until then, I can take some solace that I’m about to review the Pragmatic Play slot Bali Dragon. I’m no expert on the matter, as you can probably tell, but from my research, the Bali Dragon, otherwise known as Barong, is a mythical creature that represented good and was constantly in a battle against a demon queen called Rangda. It sounds like an interesting myth and one I’ll have to look up and research in more detail before my long-awaited trip to the island. Until then, let’s take a look at what we can expect from this 5-reel, 3-row, and 5-payline slot with a solid 96.5% RTP.
Despite that fabulous theme and the level of graphics you’d expect from Pragmatic Play – Bali Dragon does not have that much going for it. That is unless you enjoy playing slots with no bonus game or features. There’s just a base game you can play in an attempt to create some (admittedly decent) symbol payouts or a scatter symbol that pays anywhere in view.

Bali Dragon Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
In this part of the world, at least, we’re not treated to many Bali-themed online slots, but when looking, I did come across PGslot and their title Bali Vacation Infinity Reels. Rather than mythical creatures, that slot focuses on why Bali is such a dream holiday destination. The backdrop of that well-designed slot is a tropical Balinese beach made up of palm trees, sun-kissed sand, and a beaming sun. I was already dreaming of planning a vacation at the start of this review, but now I’m actively Googling flight prices as I write this section.
Anyhow, enough of the theme – it’s about time we got into the Bali Dragon paytable. Actually, when I first saw the symbol payouts on offer, I was quite impressed as there are some pretty big ones to aim for. Most notably, the Bali Dragon Mask will net you 1,000x the stake if you line five of that symbol across a payline. The Temple and Archway symbols each have a maximum win of 200x, and the Volcano returns 40x – the same as each of the Red, Blue, and Green gems.
The betting range on the Bali Dragon slot is more unconventional than what’s found on most Pragmatic Play slots. You can wager as little as €0.05 per spin and as much as €100.00.

Balie Dragon is not a slot I’d consider anything close to what Pragmatic Play usually puts out. It’s pretty basic and straightforward across the board. There’s no bonus round, and the base game involves nothing other than trying to create symbol combinations. The only feature is the scatter symbols – which, on most slots, trigger a bonus game. Here, they just pay when landed in any position on the reels. You’ll receive 10x, 50x, or 250x the stake if three, four, or five lands on the same spin.

I think Bali Dragon is one of the most threadbare slots ever released by Pragmatic Play, and whilst it will no doubt find a small fanbase somewhere around the world, it's not a game I'd ever both with again.
