Slot Overview
Aztec Tower is a new DreamSpin release, designed around a high-variance maths model with a 5×5 scatter pays layout. The game combines cascading wins, random boosters, and increasing multipliers, and there’s a free spins round that takes you deep into a jungle-treasure-themed setting. With a maximum win potential of up to 16,118x, the game looks to offer quite a lot, but did it stand up to scrutiny during Demoslot’s testing? Let’s find out.
Gameplay & Bonus Features
Aztec Tower uses a 5×5 reel layout. Wins are formed using a scatter pays mechanic, with 5+ symbols required anywhere in view to form a win. You can bet from €0.20 to €20 per spin, and the game offers a default RTP of 96%. A cascading reels mechanic is in play, too, so winning symbols are removed, and new ones drop down to take their place.
Now, the game’s core feature set revolves around Enhancers, and on every winning cascade, one random Enhancer can trigger. This adds either a wild, an extra scatter, increases the multiplier, or removes a blocker symbol, and alongside that, a global multiplier starts at 1x and increases, too, with a max multiplier of 250x possible.
The game’s Free Spins bonus is triggered by landing three scatter symbols in view, and doing so awards you with 8 free games. During the feature, the multiplier does not reset between spins, and the maximum number of Blocker symbols that can land drops to 5, compared to 10 in the base game.
Bonus Buy & Ante Bet
DreamSpin includes a couple of optional extras here, and first up is DreamBet, which increases your stake by 50% and improves the chance of you landing the free spins naturally. You can also buy directly into the bonus round for 90x, with a gamble mechanic letting you try to hit a higher starting multiplier, up to 50x.

Theme & Design
Aztec Tower is designed clearly around a classic Mesoamerican vibe, but in our opinion, it does so in quite a polished way; it doesn’t try to overwhelm you, and you’ll notice the backdrop containing a lush, dense jungle, with a temple visible in the centre.
It may not be the most visually impressive slot we’ve ever seen, but we really like what DreamSpin has done, and when you trigger the game’s bonuses and features, the graphics change nicely, too.
If you haven’t had a chance to try out DreamSpin’s games yet, you may want to see what they have to offer. Buzz Thrill and Wizards of Wildwood are a couple of their current releases we’d recommend taking a look at.
Pros
- Massive maximum win potential of 16,118x
- Enhancers trigger on every winning cascade
- Gamble Bonus Buy feature is quite addictive
Cons
- Aztec theme isn’t the most original in the world
- Blocker symbols can be pretty frustrating
- Bonus Buy/Ante Bet unavailable in some regions
Final Thoughts
Aztec Tower may not exactly be a revolutionary slot, but it’s a really solid one, and we feel DreamSpin has done an excellent job of taking a common theme and making it feel unique enough to stand out. There’s a lot going on, and the Enhancer mechanic, present on every winning spin, is a really nice base game mechanic, as it keeps things interesting and also ensures there’s plenty of action to look forward to.
The huge maximum win potential of over 16,000x is enough to tempt in pretty much all players, and yes, it’s a high variance slot, and the blocker symbols won’t be for everyone, but if you’re able to look past that, you’ll find yourself enjoying a huge range of cascades, enhancers, and multipliers, all of which can work together really nicely in both the base game and bonus round.
If you’re the type of player who enjoys scatter pays slots, but wants a bit more structure (and less chaos) than some “similar” games, Aztec Tower is well worth a look. It’s a game that the Demoslot team really enjoyed testing, and this will be one that we’ll be checking out for ourselves once it’s live!
