Game Overview
Now I don’t know about you, but I always imagined planets where there might be advanced alien life forms would be megacities, where technology went beyond anything we could ever comprehend. However, that’s definitely not the case in the Astro Rumble slot from Bullshark Games. Instead, we’re taken to a racetrack in another solar system where alien speedsters match up to see who will be crowned the ultimate champion. So, what’s in it for you? How about wilds, multipliers, high-paying nitro symbols and a chance to win 10,000x the bet.
Theme & Design
Bullshark Games has a bright and colourful planetary destination awaiting your arrival in their Astro Rumble slot with craters, a racetrack and a packed-out stadium ready for the action to begin. There’s a very cartoony feel to the game as a whole, which is sure to appeal to many, and an added bonus is that the soundtrack is reasonable, too, so it’s not one of those games that’s going to have you reaching for the mute button within a few seconds.

Astro Rumble Gameplay & Features
Astro Rumble comes with a standard RTP of 96.39% and is played on a 5×4 reel matrix where 14 fixed paylines are active throughout all aspects of the game. Wins are paid if 3 or more matching symbols connect across an active line. Players wishing to spin for real money can join the action from a minimum of €0.10 to a maximum of €100.
The main hook of Astro Rumble is the three pots positioned above the reels. Either 1, 2, or 3 of these can randomly trigger in the base game via the Cosmic Boost, which can add Red Nitros (the top paying symbol), Wilds, and/or multipliers to the reels, giving you a shot at hitting something relatively good to boost your bankroll.
These modifiers become more powerful in the free spins, of which there are two versions. In the standard bonus, 8 or 10 free spins are awarded, with all three pots active and one of them starting with a random initial value. The super bonus awards 12 spins, with all pots active and all three starting with a random value.
Once the feature commences, any Nitros, Wilds, or Multipliers that land are collected and added to their respective pots. On the spins that follow, all values are then applied to the playfield accordingly.
Bonus Buy
There are a number of enhanced betting and bonus buy options players can choose from in Astro Rumble. These are:
- BonusHunt FeatureSpins: Each spin is 5 times more likely to trigger the bonus – Costs 3x the current bet.
- Cosmic Boost FeatureSpins: A boost with at least 2 pots active – Costs 50x the current bet.
- Rocket Race: Standard free spins feature – Costs 100x the current bet.
- Galactic Rush: Super free spins feature – Costs 300x the current bet.
Pros
- Sharp graphics and a theme that is generally well presented.
- The pots can activate in the base game, not just the free spins round.
- Multiple enhanced betting options.
- Good max win and RTP combo.
Cons
- Some may find the features a little too generic.
- The payline structure may be confusing for some.
Astro Rumble Slot Review Final Thoughts
I'll be honest, when I first opened up Astro Rumble, I thought it was going to be another one of those collection-style games where you need to land the corresponding symbol on the reels to be in with a chance of triggering its feature. Thankfully, I was wrong, and although Bullshark Games may have taken some inspiration from those collector slots, they have done enough in this release to distance themselves from being put in the "crikey, not another one" category.
With all that said, Astro Tumble isn't going to be for everybody, and it's certainly not the developer's best work, but it is quite fun to play for a while and a game I'd recommend you take for a few spins and bonus buys in our free demo at the very least.
