Arena of Fortune runs on a 5-reel, 4-row set-up with 1,024 ways to win. Payouts are credited to your bankroll when three or more matching symbols land on any position on consecutive reels starting from the leftmost reel first. Standard betting options range from €0.10 to €200, whilst the game comes with an RTP of 96.10%.

The Centurion Wild is the main mechanic here and can only land on reels 2, 3 and 4. If it fully covers one of these reels in the base game, it locks in place and triggers a respin.

When this happens, everything else spins again while the wild stays put. If another full Centurion Wild lands during this, it also sticks, and the process continues. You can end up stacking multiple reels this way if things fall right.

There’s also a horizontal wild in play, which spreads across the reels from left to right once it lands. If it runs through any locked Centurion Wilds, it boosts the win on that spin with a small multiplier for each one it passes.

Collection bar & Free Spins Setup

Landing 2 scatter symbols anywhere moves you along a collection bar, which builds towards free spins. This progress is tied to your bet level, so changing your stake will switch you to a different saved position.

The higher you build this bar before triggering the feature, the stronger your starting setup will be. At level 1, you begin with one sticky Centurion Wild already in place, then two at level 2, and up to three at the highest level.

Once free spins are triggered, the bar resets, and you start building it again from scratch.

Free Spins are triggered by landing 3 or more scatters, awarding between 7 and 10 spins depending on how many land.

During the feature, Centurion Wilds become even more valuable. If one fully covers a reel, it stays locked for the rest of the round, and you can have up to three active at the same time.

You can also add extra spins by landing more scatters during the feature, giving you more chances to build around those locked wilds.

The feature plays out around holding these full reels in place and trying to land as much around them as possible before the spins run out.

Theme & Design

Relax Gaming makes some fantastic-looking slot games, but unfortunately Arena of Fortune is very much what I’d class as a tier-two release by the studio. Sure, the backdrop of the Colosseum looks fine, and there are some nice designs on the reels, but this is far from the developers’ best work, which can be seen in previous titles like Money Train 3 and Money Train 4.
