Slot Overview

Any Witch Way is Blueprint Gaming’s latest release, and this cluster pays game drops you straight into a spellbound forest, full of potion bottles, black cats, frogs and owls. You’ll find cascading wins, sticky Wild Books, free spins, and a maximum win potential of 5,000x, so is it any good, and can it turn a cosy witchy style into a slot worth playing? The Demoslot team investigates.

Gameplay & Bonus Features

Any Witch  is played on a large 9×8 hexagonal grid, and there are no paylines, as a cluster pays mechanic is used. Wins are formed by landing clusters of 6 or more matching symbols. Every winning combination is removed to allow new symbols to cascade into place. The game’s RTP is 96.08%, and you can bet from €0.10 to €500.00.

There isn’t a huge amount of action in the base game, so it’s the free spins bonus you’ll want to be on the lookout for, and this is triggered when 37 or more winning symbols appear across all cascades in a single base game spin. When this happens, you receive 10 free games, and during the bonus, 50 or more winning symbols across all cascades in a single free spin awards 10 extra free games.

Now, during the bonus round, each connected group of clusters without a Wild Book symbol involved in the win leaves behind one Wild Book in a random position. If the win does involve a Wild Book, the multiplier for that spin is increased by the number of wins in that group. If a linked group contains more than one Wild Book or multiplier, the highest value is kept and then increased again.

Theme & Design

Any Witch Way goes for a soft storybook look and feel rather than, let’s say, full gothic fantasy, and you’ll see the game grid in a glowing wood-filled clearing, with mushrooms, moonlight, and a cartoon witch all looking over the action. The game’s symbols are theme-specific, including coloured potion bottles and animals, and, for us, it’s quite a laid-back, relaxing game.

If you’re generally a fan of witch-inspired games like Witch Treasures or 3 Witch Pots, you’ll probably like what Blueprint Gaming has designed here. There are also some decent little audio and sound effects that help add to the game’s theme.

Pros

  • Win up to 5,000x
  • Unique hexagonal grid/cluster pays mechanic
  • Above-average RTP of 96.08%

Cons

  • The base game is pretty boring - lots of dead spins
  • Not the most original theme in the world
  • No Bonus Buy or Ante Bet options

Final Thoughts

Any Witch Way is a decent enough slot that is, we think, clearly designed to appeal to casual slot players rather than experienced players, and it’s the kind of game you’d see in an arcade. It’s friendly enough, easy to understand, and fairly predictable.

Yes, the base game isn’t the most exciting in the world, but it is quite thrilling to see how many symbols you’ve triggered as you try to hit 37 to land the feature, and inside the bonus round, there is some solid win potential, especially if you land enough symbol combos and grow the multiplier.

5,000x isn’t the highest maximum win potential in the world, but for Blueprint Gaming, it’s pretty good, and if you want something fantasy-themed with a straightforward, no-nonsense base game and a decent free spins bonus, Any Witch Way could be worth a look!
