Slot Overview
3 Wildos is a comic-style video slot from Thunderkick, built around three character Wilds that each have their own unique bonus effect. The game’s played on a five-reel, three-row layout with 9 fixed paylines, and there are Multiplier Wilds, Free Spins, and optional Bonus Buy/Bet+ side bets. With a maximum win potential of just 5,000x, it will, to many, look a little out of touch with today’s online gambling market, but can Thunderkick surprise us and deliver the goods? The Demoslot team investigates.
Theme & Design
3 Wildos uses a colourful, slightly quirky cartoon look and feel, and you’ll see three cartoon-like bandits, dressed in red, blue, and green. Now, interestingly, the game is clearly designed around a Mayan theme, as you’ll see the familiar-looking temples in the background.
If you’re a fan of slots like Mayan Stackways or John Hunter and the Mayan Gods, then 3 Wildos should appeal to you, theme-wise, at least. Now, admittedly, it’s not the most impressive-looking Thunderkick release we’ve ever seen, but can the game’s mechanics and bonuses make up for that? Let’s find out.

Gameplay & Bonus Features
3 Wildos runs on 5 reels, 3 rows, and 9 fixed paylines, with wins paid left to right. You can bet from €0.10 to €100 per spin, and the game offers quite a disappointing RTP of just 94.20%.
Now, in the base game, Multiplier Wilds can appear on reels 2, 3, and 4. These Wilds substitute for all regular symbols and display multiples of between 1x and 5x. When Multiplier Wilds help to form a win, the multipliers displayed are applied to the value of the win.
3 Wildos’ main bonus round is triggered by landing 3 Scatters in view, and these Scatters are coloured red, blue, and green, each tied to a corresponding Wild character. The combination of colours that lands determines what effects become active during the bonus.
You always begin with 3 Free Spins (4 if the Green Wildo is active). During the feature, all Multiplier Wilds become sticky. Each time a new Wild lands, your remaining spins count resets back to the starting amount.
The Wild’s effects are as follows:
- Blue Wildo: Adds a Collect Wild that collects all multiplier values from winning Wilds.
- Red Wildo: Increases the multiplier value of all on-screen Wilds by +3x.
- Green Wildo: Increases the number of starting spins to four.
Bonus Buy & Ante Bet
3 Wildos also offers a few Bonus Buy options. You can buy 1+ Wildo for 50x, 2+ Wildos for 80x, and 3 Wildos for 200x. There is also a Bet+ Ante Bet, which increases your base game stake in return for a higher chance of triggering features.
Pros
- Clear, easy-to-understand bonus effects.
- The Sticky Wilds mechanic is satisfying.
- Light-hearted theme.
Cons
- Very low RTP compared to most modern slots.
- Max win of 5,000x is a little on the low side.
- Hard to see any real win potential here.
Final Thoughts
3 Wildos is not the worst game we’ve seen from Thunderkick, but it’s also far from being the best. The graphics are lukewarm, in our opinion, and everything just feels a bit lazy. Yes, there are some interesting mechanics in play, and with enough Sticky Wilds in the Free Spins, you can inch towards some decent wins.
Unfortunately, anything over 1,000x feels very hard to attain, and if you’re looking for a game that can pay, 3 Wildos probably isn’t for you. If, however, you’re happy with a more casual, laid-back slot, then this could be one for you.
The bonus tends to trigger quite often, and with the cheapest Bonus Buy costing just 50x, it’s pretty affordable to purchase, too. Just be aware that the RTP of 94.20% is quite low.
