Game Overview
More Asian adventures await in the 3 Lucky Lion slot from developer Jili Games. Players can spin the reels with the chance to trigger variations of a Hold & Win bonus round where a top prize of 5,000x can be won.
Theme & Design
There’s certainly been a bit of a love-in from iGaming studios on styles of online slots similar to 3 Lucky Lion. Generally, like Jili’s release today, the theme is Asian, typically with a Chinese or Japanese backdrop, and players have to land special symbols or coins, giving them a shot at triggering a bonus round. In all fairness, with our review today, you could be looking at any number of titles we feature here on our platform, with the only difference really being the name of the game.
It wouldn’t be right to make such a claim without backing it up, so we’ll stick with Jili Games and partner studio TaDa Gaming if you want to try more slots out in this genre, with 3 Witch’s Lamp being one example, whilst 3 Pot Dragons is another game very similar in the way it plays.

3 Lucky Lion Gameplay & Features
Jili Games 3 Lucky Lion is played on a 5×3 reel configuration with 50 fixed paylines, a relatively high number given the size of the matrix. Players can stake bets from a minimum of €0.20 to a maximum of €100 and enjoy a high RTP setting of 97%.
To be honest, the base game is quite boring, and other than stacked symbols (including wilds), there’s nothing else that can trigger to help keep your bankroll ticking over. Instead, you’re looking for the purple, red or green fireworks to land, which have a chance of randomly triggering their variation of the Hold & Spin bonus. It should also be noted that combos of two or three fireworks can land simultaneously, giving you multiple modifiers in the feature.
As for the bonus rounds individually. The purple firework triggers dual reels, giving you a supersized playfield; the red firework multiplies sections of the matrix if they are filled, and the green firework gives you one extra spin to begin with. All combinations of the Hold & Win round are the same when triggered, with the spin count being reset back to its default amount when a new symbol lands and the bonus ending when the count reaches zero. Oh, and keep a look out for the fixed jackpot symbols too; these can be worth up to 500x in value.
Pros
- Uses mechanics that players are now well versed in.
- A surprisingly high maximum win of 5,000x.
- Combinations of the Hold & Win round can be triggered.
Cons
- There are already multiple games in this style on the market.
- The bonus rarely triggers for just a couple of symbols landing.
3 Lucky Lion Slot Review Final Thoughts
It appears that Asian-themed Hold & Win slots are showing no signs of slowing up, with multiple game providers heading into overkill territory in 2025. However, with that said, there must still be an outcry for games like 3 Lucky Lion, or else why would the studios keep making them?
I've said this before, but from a reviewer's point of perspective, once there are more than half a dozen or so of these games on the market, it makes them almost impossible to score. My best advice, play through them all and see which one resonates with you the best, although there's very little to choose from between them all.
