Game Overview
Arabian Nights are back once again in slot machine form with Red Tiger’s 10,001 Nights Megaways slot game! If I’m honest, the original 10,001 Nights was a bit of a damp squib – previously rated 5.5 here at demoslot.com. Well, the vitals have improved – this time, we get an RTP of 96%, a boost from 94.93% in the original 10,0001 Nights, and we now have 117,649 Megaways, making the possibility of a 10,347.6x Jackpot much more realistic.
Surprisingly for a Megaways game, most of the original features have been carried over, rather than scrapping everything in favour of just a simple ascending multiplier bonus round. We still have the Magic Lamps feature, the Imperial Spins Feature, Random Wilds feature and the Pick-Me Bonus Round that were present in the original. Does Megaways add the touch of spice this game needed to make it a classic? I’m starting to think it just might, but let’s get a little further before we make any big statements, guys – there’s an awful lot more to talk about yet.

10,001 Nights Megaways Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
As with the original game, 10,001 Nights Megaways is based on Arabian culture, and the Persian lamps and roof decorations littered around the user interface do an excellent job of transporting you to a different land. If playing slots with the sound turned on is your thing, I’m pleased to say the loop is pretty long and doesn’t become repetitive too quickly. It’s ambient too, as it should be – bonus rounds excepted, of course! The reels are filled with more Persian symbols such as camels, jewels, tigers, and men and women in Arabian dress. The result is gorgeous, and you certainly cannot fault Red Tiger for their presentation here.
So, how has Megaways affected the paytable of 10,001 Nights? Well, for some reason, the wild doesn’t appear on the paytable but does feature in many of the game’s modifiers and features… strangely, they haven’t listed its payout here as they did in the original game. As for the rest of the high paying symbols, their returns have taken quite a hit, as you can see below:

As a point of reference, the tiger paid 8x your stake for a full line of six-of-a-kind in the original game, which gives you an idea of how far the payments have had to be dropped to squeeze in the Megaways concept – we aren’t dealing with a simple 5×4 grid anymore, but a six wide reel set with up to seven rows per reel!
Bet sizing remains the same as the original game, too, with a minimum bet of €0.20 per spin and a maximum of €8.00 per spin. That may seem low to some players, but there can’t be that many people who can afford to wager more than €8.00 every couple of seconds!
Base Game & Modifiers
Base gameplay works similarly to most other Megaways slots, except this time, you have the addition of the Destiny Spin symbols to look out for! You have six reels that can potentially split into 7 rows per reel, for a total of 117,649 pay ways. That’s a considerable number which means there is a vast amount of big win potential in this game!
Winning combinations are immediately removed from the reels, allowing new symbols to drop into place, potentially creating further winning combinations. Also, keep an eye out for the magic lamps – they aren’t only for decoration!
Magic Lamps Feature
Collecting the magic lamps whilst you are playing will allow you to more along the progressive collection meter that is located above the main reels of the slot. Below I have detailed how many lamps you will need to collect and what the respective features they award will provide you with.
Imperial Spin Feature
Collect 6 Lamps: All “low-paying” symbols are removed from the reels, giving you a higher chance of winning more significant amounts. This works well sometimes due to the stacked symbols, and the best part is, because there are so many more ways to win, you can win a hell of a lot more in this feature than you could in the original!
Random Wilds Feature
Collect 13 Lamps: This feature was a lot kinder to me during testing than the Imperial Spin. Unlike the original game, this time, you are informed that the maximum number of wilds added to the reels is ten during this feature. The game seems much more generous with this feature than it did in the original, and I had some big wins during my testing of the game from this feature!
Multi Pick Bonus Feature
Collect 21 Lamps: Pick a card, any card! The three cards you are offered have multipliers of 3x, 5x, and 8x – things are much better defined in this version of the game compared to the original, which didn’t even tell you what the cards were worth. Note, this feature can even trigger during the Destiny Spins, instantly boosting your multiplier by the amount shown!
Mega Wilds Feature
Collect 3 Lamps: The biggie, this only comes around when all four of the large magic lamps have been filled, requiring a total of 30 of the smaller lamps to activate just once. Mega stacked wild symbols are added to the reels randomly – I only saw a maximum of two appear whilst testing the game, but the help file clarifies that you can receive up to four Mega Wilds, each with a multiplier of between 2x and 7x.
10,001 Nights Megaways Slot Free Spins Feature
You’ll need to hit three Destiny Spins symbols anywhere on the reels to trigger this feature, and it will take you to a typical Megaways style free spins bonus with 8 free spins – albeit with a few changes. If you hit more than three Destiny Spins triggering symbols, you will receive an additional two free spins for each extra Destiny Spins symbol.
You can also retrigger this feature by hitting three more Destiny Spins symbols during the bonus round. You’ll receive six more free spins for hitting three trigger symbols, with each additional symbol increasing this amount by one.
During the Destiny Spins, a growing multiplier is increased each time you land a winning combination. This means you can increase the multiplier many times during a single spin! However, here’s the major caveat: the multiplier is capped at 20x in 10,0001 Nights Megaways, which I have never seen in a Megaways game before. I’m not sure why they chose to do this or make the limit so low, but it definitely takes away from the excitement of the bonus round.
10,001 Nights Megaways Slot Review Final Thoughts
Wow! What an improvement! This is how Megaways should be done- take an existing game and add the Megaways mechanics to it so that it doesn’t just strip away all of the original features but enhances them instead. It’s a real shame about the 20x cap during Destiny Spins, though – it’s pretty easy to get to 20x; they should have made it at least 50x, to be fair. Apart from that, I commend Red Tiger for a significant improvement to 10,001 Nights and recommend this game wholeheartedly!
