Slot Overview

10,000 Wonders Big Bang is a high-volatility video slot from ReelPlay that expands the popular 10,000 series with new bonus mechanics, cascading reels, and a theme that combines Arabian fantasy and sci-fi! With a maximum win potential of 4,100x, it may not appeal to those in search of once-in-a-lifetime wins, but is it worth playing? Let’s find out.

Theme & Design

ReelPlay has always had a bit of a knack for producing good-looking games. We love some of the titles they’ve pushed out, especially those using the 10KWays mechanic, like Pillage the Village and Astro Dogfight.

Now, the visual presentation of 10,000 Wonders Big Bang is heavily based on Middle Eastern architecture, and you’ll see glorious marble pillars, gold trim, and a treasure trove in the backdrop.

In the top left-hand corner of the screen you can see the game’s four fixed jackpot values, and directly above the reels you’ll see a special horizontal row, where cash prizes, multipliers, and other modifiers can land.

Sure, it’s not the most groundbreaking-looking video slot in the world, but it looks decent enough, and it’s also fully mobile optimised so you can enjoy the action no matter what device you’re playing from!

10,000 Wonders Big Bang Gameplay & Bonus Features

10,000 Wonders Big Bang runs on a 6-reel grid with 4-5-5-5-5-4 rows, delivering 10,000 ways to win on each spin. You can bet between €0.20 and €50 per spin. The game offers a default RTP of 96%. Be aware, however, that ReelPlay offers its games in multiple RTP configurations, so some online casinos may choose to offer the game at a lower RTP setting.

10,000 Wonders Big Bang is a cascading reels game, so any winning symbols are removed, and new ones drop down to take their place. You’ll also see a Temple Wild, which appears exclusively on the horizontal top reel above the rows and substitutes for all paying symbols.

There are two main bonuses in the game, the first being the Bonus Respins. This feature is triggered by landing 6+ Lamp Scatters, and when it does, you receive three re-spins. The triggering lamps lock in place, and each time you land a new lamp, the re-spin counter resets back to three. The re-spins continue until you fill the grid or fail to hit a new lamp for three consecutive spins, at which point every lamp will reveal a cash prize or jackpot, and your total win is added up.

The second feature is the Big Bang Bonus, triggered when four Big Bang mini-symbols appear on reels two, three, four, and five. This launches a multi-level pick-and-click bonus where you face enemies across five stages, and you begin with three lives.

If you choose correctly, you receive a cash prize. An incorrect pick causes you to lose a life. Each time you level up, you’ll see the potential prizes increase in value, and you simply keep going until you lose all three lives.

Pros

  • Cascading reels keep the base game entertaining.
  • Two totally different bonus rounds.
  • 10,000 ways-to-win active on every spin.

Cons

  • The max win potential isn’t the highest in the world at just 4,100x.
  • Different RTP configurations are available.
  • Not a lot happening outside of the bonus rounds.

10,000 Wonders Slot Review Final Thoughts

10,000 Wonders Big Bang is a slot that does quite a lot. It combines two themes that don’t feel remotely similar to one another, it incorporates two bonus rounds that are also quite disconnected, and it tries to bring it all together in a slightly underwhelming manner, we feel.

Sure, from a gameplay perspective, the cascading reels and two bonus rounds make things interesting, but the base game is really quite boring, and there’s simply not that much going on, despite all the pieces that appear to jump out at you when you begin playing.

Then, there’s the simple fact that a maximum win potential of just 4,100x isn’t enough for many players today, so while it may be fine for casual slots fans or those who enjoy ReelPlay’s titles, we don’t feel that 10,000 Wonders Big Bang will ever become overly popular, even if it’s not the worst release in the world.
