We wanted to focus the experience on the quality of patience innate in the Elephants’ heritage and genetic design, to create a space where the soundscape has the potential to breathe life, inhale immersion, and thus vibrate a clean and clear energy when experienced together with the aesthetics.
Q2. Talk us through what had to happen behind the scenes to bring this concept to life?
It was a process that is best described as the experience of alignment between time and space. Firstly, in establishing the creative vision in both logic and abstract. Secondly, in finding the right Ascension Story Arc (ASA) for the Tribe of Monkeys, and thirdly, to make sure that the mechanics and aesthetics create a dynamic playground where the mathematics and psychological aspects have room to be fully expressed and felt.
It was also crucial to ensure the third iteration offered seamless continuity from the sequel, paying homage to its heritage but also offering a fresh outlook on the Pink Elephants universe to deliver something original and new. The feedback spiral throughout development initiated a company-wide investment in the story, allowing every team member a chance to contribute to the Pink Elephants ceremony.
Q3. The new six-level bonus sounds like a major evolution. How does this progressive system deepen the experience?
The new progressive bonus round is designed to add mystery and maximise anticipation, with the substance and flow achieved by the active collection ingredient, the peanut scatter. Once the bonus is triggered, peanuts attached to scatters and Pink Elephants are accumulated in the Pink Apex Triangle, unlocking the three shamanistic spirit animals for greater potential when climbing towards the apex of the Fibonacci-numbered tetrahedron.
The spirit animals and bonus modifiers work in symbiosis to alchemise the Pink Flame wild symbol in this sticky wild mechanic, tying the entire process together, with the climax a standout descension event centred around the titular character. The collection mechanic introduces elements of progression and tiered modifiers to add depth and replay value to gameplay.
The endgame is reached once 144 peanuts have been collected to the Pink Apex Triangle, leading to the addition of a seventh reel, expanding the payways to 16,384, and removing all symbols except for the Pink Elephants – this mode has potential.
Q4. Pink Elephants is known for its distinct art style and soundscapes. How do you achieve the right balance between audiovisual intensity and clear gameplay?
It’s controlled chaos – despite the intensity and complexity of the artwork, visual cues guide the player through the experience. Before the bonus commences, the number of peanuts required to unlock each level is highlighted, providing clarity. Then, throughout the bonus, peanuts are sucked into the Pink Triangle vortex, with a visual representation showing how many have been accumulated. This makes sure their level of progression is clear.
Upon reaching a new level, narration beneath the reels details the active modifiers, reiterating what players are searching for to climb the levels. Together, these elements ensure that even amid the vibrant chaos of the experience, players always feel grounded and aware of their journey toward the endgame.

In my personal opinion, what really stands out is the collaboration between sound and graphical design, together with the idea that a patient game creates the potential for a long tail. And if nothing else, at least we have the tale.
Q7. Can you tease whether Trinity is the final chapter, or if players can expect future story evolution?
So much time and effort went into perfecting this game. So right now, it’s time to sit back and let Trinity vibrate. The potential opportunities to expand the world are endless, but perhaps it is about knowing when a series has reached its endgame.
