Q1. Can you walk us through how you got Game of Thrones™ into production?

We have worked with Warner Bros on other licenses before so the conversation regarding Game of Thrones™ happened naturally. Blueprint Gaming has been looking to try a bigger brand, so when the world of Westeros was brought up as a potential concept for the studio to explore, we believed it was the right fit.

In terms of bringing that concept to a finished product – our goal was to bring everything we have learned from the last couple of years into this game. On one hand, working with a brand as big as Game of Thrones™ deserves a high level of polish to not disappoint our players, but also, we wanted to prove ourselves to our friends from Warner Bros once more.

The standards are high when bringing licenses to life for iGaming because you are not only proving your brand to the customer but also something else that had been developed so carefully in its original iterations. This is why branded games are a collaborative effort between us and our partners, where we discuss everything about the project, such as art, music or even whether placing characters and events in this or that scene makes sense or not, to ensure that it makes sense within the world of that theme

Q2. The game centres on “Conquer the Houses” and unlocking new Collects. What exactly are Collects, and how do they build into the game’s progression and replay value?

Each Collect symbol brings in its own unique modifiers that increase the Collect Prize. There are 4 of these symbols, and each one represents a different house from Westeros – Lannister, Baratheon, Stark and Targaryen.

These are closely tied to the progression system, as you unlock each new house one after another as you play the game.

Q3. Can you explain the Seven Kingdoms Map in simple terms? Imagine someone has never seen the TV series before nor played an online slot. How do the bonus symbols move players along it? What kinds of upgrades does it unlock?

The Seven Kingdoms Map is a feature in this game that unlocks powerful upgrades as you progress through the session, and it activates the next time you trigger the bonus.

It is also tied to another feature in the game called the Iron Throne Spins, because your progress on the map unlocks more hidden mechanics there as well.

Finally, if you manage to complete your journey through the Map entirely, you trigger the Iron Throne Super Bonus, which rewards extra spins and multipliers.

Q4. Dragon Fire Modifiers sound quite exciting from the information I saw. What are the five possible modifiers, and what is the main design intent behind them?

These are random activations during the session where the player will see the Treasure Chest trigger one of the modifiers. They are intended to keep each session unique, as you never know what and when you will trigger.

All these modifiers will cause the dragon to appear and breathe fire, unlocking either more cash symbols or increasing win potential in various different ways.

Q5. How do the Iron Throne Spins work, and what should players expect when all Collects are unlocked and active?

The players need to unlock all 4 houses to trigger the Seven Kingdoms Map, which then unlocks a chance to land the Iron Throne Spins with 3 bonus symbols.

Here, the player is awarded with 10 Iron Throne Spins along with any upgrades previously collected on the map.

With the Collect Trail active, all Collect symbols are added to the trail, increasing the potential for more rewards.

Q6. What’s the one moment, the one win setup, that you think will end up getting clipped and shared by streamers? A Dragon’s Fire hit? A Map upgrade? The Iron Throne Super Bonus? And what would you HOPE it was?

Personally, I would love to see our players enjoy the Westeros experience and feel like we have brought that world into our game well, being a fan of Game of Thrones™ myself.

However, with the randomness of Dragon Fire Modifiers, I can see the viral potential of those sessions too.

Landing big moments in The Iron Throne Spins feature would obviously be great too, as that is very much the late-game content in this slot, so it will be good to see all those mechanics play out.

Regardless of any of those moments, it will be insanely cool to look at any clips and think, “yeah, we’ve made that.” ”.
