I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to quite a few places in the world, but one country I’ve yet to tick off my list that fascinates me is Egypt. The sheer splendour of the monuments and the history of this ancient civilisation makes this a “must-visit” destination for me at some point. For the time being, however, I can get my fix of the pharaohs through several online slots, one being Relax Gaming’s latest collaboration with Casino Grounds titled Book of Power. This 5×3 reel video slot comes with 10 fixed paylines, an RTP of 96.11% and a maximum win of 15,000x bet.
As with pretty much any “book style” of slot that has ever been created, the base game in Book of Power lacks any real modifiers and action. Thankfully, the same can’t be said for the bonus round, where two variations of free spins can be triggered. First is the standard spins, where you’ll be awarded an expanding symbol with additional symbols and multipliers being added when re-triggers occur. The Power Free Spins really heat things up, though, where symbol upgrades can take place for potentially massive wins. Extra features include Hot Mode, Power Bet, and a Bonus Buy, with more on those a little later.

Book Of Power Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Relax Gaming is no stranger to a “book-themed” slot; after all, they created the insanely high RTP game Book of 99, which, if you hadn’t guessed, comes with an RTP of 99%. It would appear that title was not enough though, and after having huge successes in their partnership with Casino Grounds on slots like Beast Mode, Iron Bank and Net Gains slot, the two industry powerhouses have again decided to collaborate on this new adventure Book of Power. So as you’d expect, there is real hype around this release, as both of these talented companies are currently on top of their game.
We all love a juicy-looking paytable, and it looks like that’s what we’ve got here, as the highest paying symbol is the Explorer, who will pay 500x for a five of a kind win. Next, we have the Mummies Mask that will award 200x for all five on a payline, with the final premium paying symbols being the Sarcophagus and the Pyramid, both of which pay 75x for a completed payline. Dropping down to the lower pays, we find these are represented by five royal symbols. The Ace and King will both pay 15x for a full line, and lastly, we have the Queen, Jack and Ten, all of which pay 10x for a five of a kind win. Book of Power does include two book Wild symbols coloured blue and red, which also double up as the scatter. Hit a full payline of 5 books, and you’ll receive 500x your bet.
Relax Gaming has put a pretty impressive betting range into the game, with the minimum stake starting at just €0.10 a spin with over 20 options then available before reaching the maximum standard stake of €30. So whether you’re a low or high roller, there will be a bet size comparable to your bankroll for you to choose from.
Book Of Power Slot Base Game & Modifiers
Like most book-themed slots you will have played in the past, Book of Power has 5 reels, and each of these contains symbols 3 rows high, totalling 10 fixed paylines for you to win upon. Banking some cash to your balance will require a minimum of 3 matching symbols to land on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel first.
Power Bet
Toggling the power bet switch located to the left of the reels into the on position will increase your chances of triggering the bonus round by 170%. Selecting this option will also double the size of your current stake.
Book Of Power Slot Bonus Features
So, as I mentioned earlier, there’s not a great deal going on in the base game of Book of Power, which is often the way with these styles of games. However, it does have two free spins features that can be triggered. The first is the standard bonus round, where landing 3, 4, or 5 blue book scatters will award 10, 15, or 20 spins, respectively. The enhanced version of the bonus is activated when at least one of the triggering scatters is a red Power Book symbol. And again, 3, 4, or 5 scatters will award 10, 15, and 20 spins to begin the feature.
Standard Free Spins
You will be awarded a special expanding symbol at the beginning of the regular free spins. Any time this lands on the reels 3 or more times ( or 2 in the case of the premium symbols ), it will expand to cover the reels and pay you over 10 paylines. If two book scatter symbols land during the feature, five extra spins will be added to your total, along with another expanding symbol. If you already have the symbol awarded from the book, it will have a +1multiplier attached to it, with a maximum of x9 available.
Power Free Spins
At the beginning of the power spins, you will be awarded a special symbol from the book. Just like the regular free spins, this acts as your expanding symbol, and when 3 or more instances of it land on the reels ( 2 in the case of the premium symbols ), it will cause them to expand and pay you the win over all 10 paylines. Furthermore, if 2 book symbols land in view, five extra spins will be awarded the current symbol will be upgraded on the meter to the left of the reels. Once the highest symbol has been achieved, any further re-triggers will increase its multiplier value by +1, up to a maximum of x9. Finally, landing a power book on any of the centre 3 reels will make that reel golden and guarantee it will expand with your symbol on every spin.

Book of Power comes with two bonus buy options you can take advantage of if this facility is available in your jurisdiction. They are as follows:

Final Thoughts
As much as I like Relax Gaming and their work with Casino Grounds in the past, it's hard to get excited about yet another " Book of " slot. I do have to give credit where it's due though, and the overall design and playability of the game are fantastic, but when it comes to the features, it's not really anything we haven't seen before. Nevertheless, I'd still recommend you give this one a try, as the maximum win of 15,000x gives it an edge over many of the other slots in the genre.
