8th Wonder Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
The title of the 8th Wonder video slot is pretty ambiguous, and the same is true even after you have caught a glimpse of the symbols used on the reels. We have Lucky Eights, piles of cash, bars of gold, hearts, and a selection of gems. I guess that the 8th Wonder must be the Lucky Eights. It may seem overly simplified, but you don’t need to do too much in terms of graphics and presentation with these classic three-reel games.
The paytable, however, is always important regardless of how big the playfield is or the type of online slot. The highest-paying symbol in this game is the Lucky Eights, or 8th Wonder if you prefer, which pays 160x your stake for a full pay line of three-of-a-kind. The cash and gold bars are next, with a huge step down to 40x your stake for each of those, whilst the hearts and all three colours of gem each pay 8x your stake for a complete pay line. Remember, all of the lower payouts can be doubled to 80x or 16x your bet by hitting a full screen of those symbols, but the maximum payout is capped at 160x, which means that you will not receive double if you hit a full screen of the Lucky Eights. In fact, I’m not even sure what must happen here – if a single pay line awards 160x, does a full screen award just 160x as well? If so, this seems like an unusual decision by Realistic Games and may put off some players who might otherwise be interested in playing a classic three-reel slot.
The scale of the wagering options is quite surprising, considering the simplicity of the rest of 8th Wonder; the minimum bet is set at €0.25 per spin, whilst the maximum reaches the insane heights of €200.00 per round… that’s a massive wager for this type of game!

I guess this will be a relatively short review, as there isn’t too much more to say about 8th Wonder – it’s a three-reel classic slot, meaning the playfield is 3×3 in size, and the five fixed pay lines only return a win when you hit a full pay line of three-of-a-kind. There is a single “modifier”, if you like, detailed below:
Full House Modifier
Whenever a full screen of the same symbol lands, the payouts for each winning pay line will be doubled. This will increase the return for the gems and hearts symbols from 40x to 80x, or from… 160x to 160x for everything else.
I’m a little confused about this – if the payout for a full pay line of the cash and gold bars is 40x, then a full screen would be 200x. A full house should be 400x, but the maximum win per round is 160x. I suspect there could be a mistake somewhere here, but according to the game, that is what you have.
8th Wonder Slot Review Final Thoughts
I’m not the biggest fan of classic slots, but for those who enjoy this kind of thing, I’m sure that 8th Wonder will find an audience somewhere. The confusion regarding the top payouts is frustrating, but I hope the situation isn’t quite as dire as it appears in the previous section.
